Avoid Hims at all costs.

There are plenty of other ways to get what you need.

This company randomly cancelled my subscription and created a new account. Then, on the new account I created, they charged me for a subscription I’d already paid for on the original account and refused to cancel or refund anything.

They told me they didn’t receive my payment on the original subscription despite the fact that my product was delivered and I have a clear charge on my credit card.

I’m not usually one to post negative reviews, but wow their customer support was useless and it really got to me.

Terra Former by Brain Dead

I just sampled the tester I bought and man do I love this one. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. It’s really distinctive. The frag rides just on the edge between wearable and unwearable (to my nose) and rides it well.

I think its success comes from the bergamot and amber notes, which help cut through the earthiness and make it multi-dimensional and appealing to the nose without being forward enough to detract from the main scent profile.

This isn’t an ad or anything, but I would strongly recommend buying a sample to anyone who is looking for a unique outdoors-inspired scent.

I’d love to hear from anyone else who’s tried it.

How to delete account?

Seems basically impossible to delete my account.

I live in a different state, and it won’t let me change my state. It says to contact them, but they don’t even list a customer service line. I found a customer service line, but nobody answers.

I think, “fine, I’ll just create another account.” Dear reader, I can’t create a new account because my phone number is associated with another one.

At this point, I just want to delete my account.
I’m trying so hard to give Hims my money, but they’re making it impossible for it to work for me.

Distinctive masculine fragrance?

I’m a young man who has been interested in fragrance for some time, and I do have a small collection of frags I love. My taste tends to lean fresh, floral, and fruity, and I really do enjoy the frags I’ve purchased so far (as a point of reference, my signature scent right now is Loewe Paseo por Madrid - Prado).

While I enjoy my current collection, I’m looking for something a bit more traditionally masculine to wear for date nights and at work functions (my field is a bit more conservative and superficial).

I’m open to any suggestions, but I would love something that is a bit off the beaten path and has the interesting and complex combinations I’ve come to appreciate.

Likes: spices, sandalwood, cedar, green fragrances
Dislikes: heavy leather, scents too reminiscent of alcohol, anything a little one dimensional

Any help would be appreciated, even if it’s just suggestions on a fragrance house to explore!

Tire professionally plugged but still leaking. What to do?

I drive a 2020 Nissan Sentra in case that affects anything.

I got a notification a few days ago that the PSI was low in one of my tires, so I filled it and went on my way. After work, the pressure was low again, so I figured it was a leak.

Today, I went to Jiffy Lube to have them plug it, and they supposedly took care of it. However, I just got in my car again a few hours later and the PSI was once again low.

Is there a reason why it would still be leaking? And would they have charged me if they weren’t able to fix it? The process did seem extremely quick (maybe 10 min max), but I’ve heard it is a relatively easy fix…

Any thoughts on what I should do?

Bad work experience?

It seems like the general consensus is that work experience doesn’t necessarily make or break your BL application.

However, I’m curious to know if there are there any pre-law school positions in the legal field that would have a negative impact on recruiting? I currently work at a plaintiff side PI firm. These firms have an “ambulance chaser” reputation, and I’m wondering if I should try to find another position in a different field before law school. I’m 1 year post-grad and will be applying this coming cycle, so I’ll have ~1 year before matriculation.

The primary thing keeping me at my current firm is that I feel I’m getting to do really substantive work at a junior level (e.g., regularly negotiating settlements, lots of opportunities for meaningful contributions to evolving work flows).

My thinking is that the substantive elements of my work would benefit me more in interviews than having a slightly flashier title/firm/field. What do you all think?
