Formentor hybrid dead after software update

Formentor hybrid dead after software update

Curious if anyone here has had a similar experience. I got my charging flap replaced at the dealer last week under warranty. They told me while it was in, that there was a software update due on the car. So I had it done. No problem.

Came out to the car the next day and it was totally dead. No unlock, no hazard lights, no start. Nothing.

Cupra called out the AA who found the 12V had drained down to 3V.

They’ve taken the car back to the dealer now to fault find. I discovered my dashcam (which has been in the car for six months, and always shuts off with the car) stayed recording until 3am the day it came back from the dealer.

Is this a known fault? The 12V system usually always turns off with the car, but for whatever reason it now seems to stay live and kill the battery. It’s never done this before until this most recent update.

London Pubs - All Ireland Final

Hi all,

Wondering does anyone know of any pubs in London who will be showing the final on the 26th? Will be in London then but don’t want to miss Mayo v Kerry.

Thanks :)

Retrofit Sport Seats - 2022 Formentor 1.4 hybrid

Hello all, curious if anyone knows if a retrofit of the sport bucket seats is possible into a car fitted with the standard seats (adjustable headrest type seats).

Breakers near me has a set of them in mint condition for a good price. My car already has heated seats, only difference is the donor seats are electric memory, mine currently are fully manual.

Would such a retrofit be possible, or would it be not worth the time?

One year with my 2022 Formentor PHEV

One year with my 2022 Cupra Formentor, in which I’ve put 17,000km on it. Had its ups and downs but overall really pleased so far, namely;

- Genuinely think this is the best looking car I’ve ever owned. Sure I’ve never been driving around in a Ferrari, but I really love how this car looks for a normal daily.
- Hasn’t put a foot wrong reliability wise, save for one or two electrical glitches.
- Fuel economy overall doesn’t quite match the 520d I came from, but I knew that going in. Still very respectable though.

I would like a set of 19s on it at some point. The tiny wheels do hurt the looks a bit, but overall very happy. Here’s to another year.

St Patricks Bridge - strange encounter

Anyone see the couple of folks on St. Patricks bridge earlier? One playing some sort of horn, another handing out leaflets, and another playing a ukulele with an Israel flag hanging off their bag?

I was driving past so didn’t get offered a leaflet to see/understand what it was all about. Anyone know?
