What philosophical views or schools of thought do you think about?
For me, it's a mix of stoicism, existential nihilism, and some Socratic/Nietzschean ideas.
I like Marcus Aurelius' Meditations and Ryan Holiday's interpretation of it. Helps keep my anxieties and overthinking in check.
Existential nihilism is what I call "the void". Usually I fall into those thought patterns from depression but crawl my way out in a Sisyphean way. Camus and Dostoevsky are interesting takes on it.
I like to blend Socratic and Nietzschean ideas in the sense that I think ignorance is the root of evil and societal weakness that prevents the strong (the knowledgeable and intellectual) from ascending.
I'm a 20yo ISTP guy from US. Taking a break from college ATM but debating between pursuing compsci (cybersecurity or webdev) or medicine (radiology). Anyone have advice?
I'm wondering when I'm going to learn Swedish with this guy...
