Is electronics(instrumentation and control) engineering a good branch ?

What is this band system and how do i calculate mine

I got 96.5 in isc boards and 128 in met phase 1 I wanna go to mahe Manipal while some sources are sure that I will get cse some sources aren’t I got 20k rank in viteee but I don’t wanna go to vellore rn I am scared that if I don’t apply for counselling at vit and god forbid I don’t get into mahe I will not have a good option left anymore so should I or should I not apply for vit counselling as a backup (6000rs for counselling I don’t wanna waste money)

I am thinking of applying to PES University but the admissions are through jee mains and my percentile is 87 is it worth applying to or no

I got 20k rank in viteee 87percentile in mains 96.5% in boards (isc) and 128 marks in met phase 1.My main choice was bits but I got 152 in first attempt so ik that I am dreaming out of my league. Idk what college to choose and what branch I will get pls help
