The state of this hobby has me less than thrilled... for a good year now Ive been so tempted to stop. What are you guys doing to keep from getting burnt out on collecting given the state of the hobby? I've been collecting since base set (born in 93) and its so hard to ignore pokemon all together right now and just solely focus on my other tcg love, MTG. Also, do you guys think things will mellow out after the 30th anniversary?

Im not a player, I just have a lot of nostalgia for the show and I love collecting the cards. I buy a box every now and again for the fun of it and I got this guy out of my first box of RC5. Did this guy basically just pay for my box?
