I recently got into the Digital audio player world and with the helpful advice of many here I decided to do my toe and buy a small cheap player and IEMs to see if I would use it long-term.
After using the Shanling M0 and some Fiio IEMs for a couple of months I'm looking for a serious upgrade for a long term option but struggling to find something ticks all the boxes.
Hoping to be able to get at least a couple days if I forget to charge it overnight for use at work.
I like the Shanling M0, though it is very small, but I don't want another slightly smaller smartphone, id prefer something smaller.
Id like buttons to prevent accidently scrolling to full volume when it's in my pocket.
The ability to "play next" and move order of songs about to be played.
Price point is almost irrelevant as I'm looking at a long term purchase but while I appreciate the significantly better sound quality I'm not going to pretend I'm an audiophile, I don't want to spend $1000+.
Current leaders are a couple of the Onix or Sony devices
