probably a stupid question, but do I open an existing vault that I synced to the SD card on my Android phone? I don't seem to find a folder picker or some other way.

I'm considering using HelixNotes or Obsidian for all my school stuff (I'm a teacher). So far I like very much what I see, not needing a gazillion of plugins for even basic features and so on.
One thing I noticed though (and which works differently in Obsidian): the classes I teach are named 5a through 12g and a lot in between. When I set up a group of folders in HelixNotes they are sorted 10g,11g,12g,5g, 6g and so on. In Obsidian they are sorted as would be expexted from5 through 12. Any chances that this type ofsorting will be implementedin HelixNotes?
Otherwise a fabulous piece of software - keep up the good work!

Eingesammelte Muttizettel, auszuteilende Bücherliste, Checklisten für beides und für noch anderes, Notizen für nächste Klassenlehrerstunde und und und...
Hat jemand eine Idee für sowas? Mir schwebt eine Ledermappe vor, Notizblock und/oder Klemmbrett, mehrere Fächer für Zeugs und lose Zettel.
Amazon ist ja mittlerweile überschwemmt mit billigem Chinamüll, hat jemand einen konkreten Vorschlag?
Bezeichnet im übertragenen Sinne eine Gefahr, die trotz komfortabler Situation über einem schwebt. Bezieht sich auf einen möglicherweise fiktiven Höfling Damokles, der den Herrscher Dionysius um Macht und Reichtum beneidete. Dieser bot ihm einen Platz an seiner Tafel, allerdings unter einem Schwert, das lediglich an einem Roßhaar hing. Damokles verzichtete dankend.
I hope no one will ever be as stupid as me! When swapping batteries the SD card must have popped out of its slot and when I put in the new battery it blocked the way and I broke it cleanly in half. Hurrah!
So no I have half of the old card still sticking in the slot. Has anyone ever tried to pry such a broken card out of the slot?

Observation: by now everyone and his dog have developed, are developing or are planning to develop a PKMS to end all PKMSs. Many of these will end up as unfinished debris in the PKMS orbit.
Prediction: we will rapidly come to the point where the finding and productive usage of PKMSs will become near impossible because we are permanently bombarded by the debris of defunct PKMS projects.
Suggestion: I suggest a ten year moratorium on all new PKMS projects.
Do your f*** job and use one of the existing ones.

Musste gerade an meine ferne Jugend in den 70ern denken, wo wir im Sommer gerne auf einem überwachsenen Grundstück kleine Feuerchen gemacht haben (die manchmal zu ziemlich großen Feuern wurden - ach die unschuldigen Freuden der Jugend!)
Diese kleinen Feuer hießen bei uns (meine Mutter kam aus Danzig) Peserchen, "ein Peserchen machen" oder pesern die Tätigkeiten.
Vermutlich eines der Wörter, die mit meiner Generation der Kriegsenkel ausstirbt.
