How is the F-100D as a dogfighter? Im not really familiar with its flight characteristics. Will it have any strengths it can exploit against the Mig-17/19/21? Is it generally a 1 or 2 circle fighter?

Edit: Thanks everyone for your comments! What I have gathered is don't try to fight on equal terms, you are better off trying to disengage and run in the F-100 unless you have an initial advantage or a lot of practice.

As someone who was able to struggle through and beat Returnal I definitely prefer Saros. It's important to understand that my perspective is that of someone who found Returnal very unforgiving.

I find the story more engaging, I find the environments more visually interesting, and i find the actual combat more complex. Its also a bigger game with significantly more biomes and bosses.

RNG effects a run of Returnal much more than Saros. Whether this is a good thing is entirely subjective and I think people need to recognize that.

I think people who think Saros is too easy need to judge the difficulty compared to the current difficulty of Returnal for them and not the difficulty of Returnal when they first played it.

Also, people need to understand the game was likely balanced based on starting each biome on its own and not doing extended runs from the beginning. Doing the extended runs can trivialize difficulty as you will be reaching a target biome with basically double the weapon proficiency and attributes that you would have if you just teleported. What i find ironic is the people who call Saros easy are the ones most likely to do extended runs.

Ultimately i find the ratio fun to frustration in Saros to be significantly better than Returnal while each individual combat encounter being comparably challenging.

Trying to decide which version to get. Specifically i want to play the game with a controller, because i want to play on my couch in a relaxed fashion. I do have a full hotas setup but don't want to use it for MSFS. Also not interested in mods, just want to play the career mode.

It seems the Ps5 version already has the controller configured and the ps5 version is built around playing with that controller (appropriate button prompts). Does the PC version have the same level of easy of use with an xbox controller? If the PC version onboards and plays as well as the PS5 version does then I'm more likely to go with.
