Exact bits with Z1/Pro

My Z1 Pro should arrive later today or tomorrow but I want to setup my CAM tools in FreeCAD first. Does anyone have the exact spec and details on the bits that ship with the Z1 / Z1 Pro? There seems to be 5 bits that ship with it as part of the "24-hour limited gift" for Kickstarter backers. I also want the same for the "Essential milling bit set 26 piece" as I ordered that too.

From my understanding, after creating tools in FreeCAD it's possible to export them so others can import the same to their FreeCAD CAM tools. Maybe someone has already crated a Z1 bit set? If not then I'm committing here to being the guy who will painstakingly do it and share it here in a few days for fellow FreeCAD users 😄

Better to print this model in resin, or use FDM?

I created this model this morning and need to print it for a prototype. It's 180mm tall. the outer diamater of the cylinder (top half of the model) is 32mm and the outer diamater of the flange (approximately the middle of the model) is 38mm. That means that flange creates a 3mm overhang. The cylinder on the top half is hollow down as far the the flange i.e. the top half of the model is hollow, not the whole model. The bottom tip of the model has a 5mm diamater.

I have a Saturn 4 Ultra 12k and access to a Bambu P2S FDM printer (my own FDM printer doesnt have the build volume for a 180mm tall model). Im interested in peoples opinions on SLA vs FDM, and how to orientate and support the model. I'd like to avoid splitting it unless absolutely essential. Thanks.

Stability of Z1/Pro on workbench

I have a small workbench in my shed that I use for my 3D printer and am considering buying a second one for my Z1 Pro that's on the way soon (hopefully). The bench has hollow stainless steel legs and frame, with the counter top being 15mm thick wood (some kind of compressed fibreboard I'd guess) that's wrapped in a 0.8mm thick sheet of stainless steel. It's about 1.2m wide and 70cm deep and probably weighs 15kg total. It's in a resin/plastic shed that's sitting directly on a poured concrete floor.

While this is perfectly stable and fine for my resin printer etc. and is apparently rated for 200kg of weight, I'm wondering if it will be stable enough for the Z1 Pro? I think I remember the Z1 weight being listed as 40kg somewhere but I'm wondering about shaking when it's in operation. The current bench seems pretty stable and doesn't wobble, certainly not easily, and is definitely more stable and robust than an office desk. However, I'm curious what experienced desktop CNC users think about this. Thanks.

Upgrading cable on IE200

I have a set of Sennheiser IE200 earbuds and am using them with a FiiO K11 DAC. I really like the sound quality but the stock cable is pretty microphonic (noticable when walking, not when sitting still) so id like to upgrade the cable. Does anyone have a specific brand/model of cable they can testify as solving the microphonic issue, and is officially compatible with the IE200 without connection fit issues? Thanks.

Sennheiser IE200 + FiiO KA1 DAC

I'm tired of losing sound quality with Bluetooth, and also tired of Bluetooth having intermittent connection/quality issues when in busy crowds like subways at rush hour. These are issues I've had with every brand of earbud/earphone I've had, including high end expensive sets.

So, I decided I'm going fully wired. I also decided to keep the budget pretty low so after a bit of research I settled on the Sennheiser IE200 + FiiO KA1 DAC. I'll use the 3.5mm jack with my desktop and laptop and the USB-C DAC with my phone.

I should have both in hand in a couple of days. Have I made a good choice for this price point?
