My grandpa’s pear upside down cake from 1963
My grandpa passed away last year and left me his personal handwritten recipe book in his will. Of everything in there, this pear upside down cake in particular has been an absolute staple in our family for decades, especially during late summer.
I wanted to share it with this community so his legacy can live on in other people's kitchens. If you love vintage baking I highly recommend giving this a try! :)

My take on this new update
This new build mode update is absolute horse shit. It feels like the devs are actively going out of their way to make building as tedious and overcomplicated as possible.
Why on earth do we now have to click T every single time we want to toggle between rotating and moving shapes? It completely breaks the flow of building. Not to mention but idk if anyone notice this but they got rid of the enter function when buying items in build mode which feels counterintuitive. I don’t mind the box wall toggle but it would’ve been better if we got some other features rather just an overhaul on something that wasn’t necessary.
Lastly I wish the devs would focus more on prioritizing builders instead of adding superficial updates that just sit on the map after a week once they hype fades. We’ve seen this before with the laundromat, theatre, dance studio, etc.

Upcoming build mode update!!
I'm lowk excited for this update and am really hoping for adjustable wall heights or something along those lines so we can finally add porches and finally get rid of adding those awkward stair landings on the inside of our homes 🤧🤧
