I bought this off an eBay auction. No idea if it's silver or not. But I think the details are so pretty. Can anyone tell me more please ? It was selling as silver tone untested rather than silver. It was a charity auction so I'm not too fussed.
I have this one but the face is a different colour. I did an image search on it and I only see this blue faced one and it's priced at around £400 for a vintage 1980s brooch (costume jewellery). I don't believe this is its true value but it's the only piece I've seen online so not sure. Can anyone please shed some light on this item? I cannot see a makers mark anywhere on the brooch.
My aunt gave me some small diamond stud earrings some years back. Unfortunately I cannot wear them because I react to the metal in my ears.
I got engaged last month and we have not picked out the actual ring yet. I was wondering if it would be possible to use the diamond earrings as part of the ring. I was thinking of getting an oval teal or parti-sapphire as the centre stone with the two diamonds from my earrings on the sides. I also plan to melt the metal posts and use as part of the ring as they are 18ct gold.
But I am also worried about hurting my aunts feelings. Would you feel hurt if someone did this with the jewellery you gave them?
