Fields of Mistria - How are you liking it? Who are you romancing?

I've had a difficult time finding a farming type game that lives up to Stardew Valley. I've tried a few but I lose interest quite quickly. This game however has hooked me so far.

I loooove fantasy, so the extra fantasy feels of this game really helps, plus the characters are interesting and I like some of the additional things you can do, like bug catching.

I'm currently pursuing Doctor Valen, I'm quite taken with her. She gives me a Sailor Uranus vibe which I adore.

Anyone else hooked on this game since official release? What do you enjoy most? Which villager are you taken with?

Sapphic Cosmic Horror?

I have a hankering for some good cosmic horror with sapphic themes and possibly even themes around identity.

My favorite videogame of all time is Signalis. a survival horror game with cosmic horror elements and themes around identity. It's also sapphic as hell.

I'm probably grasping at air as I haven't been able to find much but if anyone has any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

One of the better TV show Reactors has Person of Interest in their current Patreon poll and it is in third place, any fans who like reactions should rally together!

Link to their poll page can be found here

I am a long time fan of Person of Interest and I love watching reactions to the show but there aren't many out there. If there are any of y'all big fans who have the $10 to spare, should join and vote for it!

These two are arguably one of the best react channels on youtube and patreon, getting to re-experience the show through them would be a treat!

Humor me because I need to believe...

Dark Souls 3 is ten years old this year and I can't help but pine for the days of 2014-2016 when we got Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, 2 again, and Dark Souls 3.

I am one of those people that loves the online mechanics of the game. I love co-oping with people, I love all aspects of the PvP. I think it's fun and exciting to get invaded. The thing is about these features, they are always at their peak when the games are new and the servers are filled with active players.

The thing is about Dark souls 3 now being ten years old is that I had convinced myself that Fromsoft would release a trilogy remaster of all three dark souls games on all platforms INCLUDING the switch 2, especially since they are making an exclusive for the console.

I know Duskbloods isn't going to be a traditional fromsoft souls-style gane, and that hurts a little bit. Part of me worries we won't get another successor after Eldenring (I desperately hope we do. I long for that feeling of experiencing one of these games for the first time again.)

Anyways, I'm kind of just posting this because I'm curious how many others think a trilogy remaster just makes sense and fromsoft would be silly NOT to make one. After all they made Darksouls 2 twice...

Does anyone have old photos or old footage of the waterslides that shut down in the 2000's?

I can't quite remember what it was called, I think it was 'Wonderful Water World' ? but I can't recall for certain.

When I was a kid I used to visit family in Penticton during the summer, my great Aunt used to buy all of us kids seasons passes and we would go multiple times a week. She passed away in 2001 so we stopped visiting after that and I heard it shut down in like 2004 or something and was turned into apartments, which is a shame.

I've been to many other waterparks in my life since and they had many cool things that the Penticton slides didn't, but ive still never seen water slides like the green ones since. I believe there were 7 green slides in total. they were quite long and loopy, i remember beautiful green bushes and vines which really gave then an adventurous feel when you slid under them. most water parks are just concrete slabs with no vegetation. The slides had exciting drop offs and tunnels and I in my childhood I would slide down them literally all day from morning to night and never got bored. Since they shut down before the digital age I'd suspect there wouldnt be any good footage of them. These days you can find youtube videos with first person views of people sliding down waterslides.

Anyways, the last week i've tried searching the internet for anything that covered that specific waterpark, news papers or old websites or anything and yet the ONLY image ive been able to find was this grainy sky image of the park, possibly after it was shut down since it does not look maintained. Here

I would LOVE if there was anyone still in penticton who would have information or any kind of old media of this specific water park, thank you!

How is Assassin's Creed Shadows in comparison to Odyssey?

I've never liked the AC games, Odyssey was the first one I liked. I remember getting Valhalla afterwards and immediately disliking it and Eivor.

I often hear Odyssey isn't a good AC game and I believe it, but wow is it ever a fantastic open world rpg with a charismatic female protagonist.

As far as I understand it, Shadows isn't a huge, open world game like Odyssey, and that's fine. I don't typically care for vast open worlds, Odyssey was the exception because i love ancient greece and greek mythology.

I know there are two main characters in shadows and while I prefer female protagonists, Yasuke isn't a deal breaker. He's atleast not a cardboard cut out of a cishet white dude with emotional regulation issues. That said, how much of the game do you get to play as Naoe? Do you get to choose between them in the later stages of the game? I'll be less interested if she's only in a small portion. Also how is her personality?

Shadows is currently on sale for $40 on steam and ive been replaying odyssey, so I'm tempted to try it out, but I'd love to see opinions from others in this sub before hand as I'd rather my money for the steam sale go to a game im gonna play alot and enjoy.

Looking for a gripping mystery! (Sapphic themes a bonus)

Hey y'all!

I love you all so much. Every time I come here with a request, you never fail to deliver. Because of this subreddit, I have over 100+ queer fiction novels on my wish list. A decade ago I felt like I had no queer fiction to read at all, like many I am sure I relied on fan fiction for my fix. Anyways, moving on...

I'm ready to pick up my next book but I've been bitten by a very particular craving. I am in dire need of a gripping, fantastical mystery. Something that will keep me on the edge of my bed, frantically turning the page in hopes of finding more answers.

My favorite genres are fantasy and weird, with sci-fi coming after that, and other genres following afterwards. I am also an asexual lesbian, and I have a weakness for sappy sapphic fiction. All that said, however, my desire for a gripping mystery is higher than my genre preference, and I'm open to any sort of queer fiction (granted, sapphic is probably still preferred most of all)

I'm not opposed to a good murder mystery, but I'd prefer something a bit more complicated than that. Kicking off a story with a missing person or persons is enticing, but a mystery with an even more fantastical premise would be most sought after.

I'm not trying to be picky, though. I'm open to any suggestions that come with a good mystery. I feel like I haven't been engaged with a good mystery for some time and my recent attempts to read or watch anything with the mystery being the premise have been a bit disappointing.

Thank you all in advance. Every time I come here with a hankering for a specific genre, you never disappoint me!

[SN2] The way you upgrade Inventory Space needs to change

You are taught in the beginning that biobeds are how you respawn. So why would I ever want to click on a biobed in some old base ruins in a cave i found 300m away from my base?

I played through the entirety of the story out so far with the tiniest inventory space and hot bar, assuming it was a gameplay decision due to having multiplayer. Nope. you click on random biobeds in ruins to increase your inventory. I now finally have doubled my inventory space but ive completed the game already, lol.

I think the devs need to change how it's acquired or have NoA mention some reasion WHY you would want to activate a biobed you never plan to use.

I'm looking to write a queer magic school book but I realize my only real familiarity with the genre is with the series that shall not be named. I remember watching shows like 'Worst Witch' when I was younger, but that's where my experience stops.

I know there are other renown series within the genre but i'm not really aware of them specifically and would love some recommendations, preferably sapphic themed magic academy books but I'll also take queer magic books in general.

I just finished Hungerstone by Kat Dunn a few days ago and needed to let it percolate before deciding on a new book. Unfortunately Hungerstone wasn't really what I hoped for, based on the recommendations I got. It was sold to me as a retelling of carmilla with sapphic vampires and it is neither. That said it perfectly encapsulated Feminine Rage really well and if it was divorced from the Carmilla label entirely I would of liked it more. (even if the story is mainly steeped in white feminism.) I rate it a 3 out of 5.

Hoping my next read is more exciting
