Climbing for beginner/intermediate?

Hey yall, I’m moving to mammoth for a full time year round position at the mountain and I was wondering what some good resources for climbing could be while I’m getting acclimated to my new home. I’m from the Midwest and have been bouldering on and off for a couple years, pretty much in the v5 territory in terms of skill. We don’t have really any top rope or sport climbing near me and I’m looking to get into it since it will be more prominent. I just like to be active and I know the winter is not exactly prime season, but when fall, spring and summer roll around I’d like to know my options. Anything would help, thank you guys!

Park City or Mammoth?

Not sure if this is the exact place to post this but I thought it would be the best. Long story short, I’m a ski lift mechanic from the Midwest who has options to either work at PC, Mammoth, or Heavenly. I’m trying to get a general consensus on which area would be best for living as a 24yo male who’s pretty active outdoors. My top two choices are PC and Mammoth, and as much as I love the mammoth option, housing is not as available/cheap as PC. Along with Park City being a union shop. I’ve always wanted to live in California but I’m trying to weigh my options. Any input from locals or resort staff would be highly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Currently been growing my beard out for about a month, first time I’ve ever tried. Usually I just rock a stache but I decided I wanted to attempt to grow the mane and beard out together for the winter(I work outside in all weather)My question is should I keep it up and see what happens,(hopefully a little R.J. MacReady action) and if so does anyone have any advice on how to maintain and trim the beard and stache to keep it even throughout as I let it grow? Thanks in advance

Edit: to add (if this has any weight) - I’m im my mid 20s, in a predominantly older male trade and have a girlfriend who loves me either way.

2nd edit: Seems like the comments are split, I’ll take it as a win either way
