Hi furparents! Ask lang po sana if meron dito na may experience sa kitten na may hydrocephalus.

My kitten is only 5 weeks old and currently confined. Napansin namin na hirap siyang i-lift yung body niya, especially yung head niya, parang hindi niya kayang suportahan nang maayos. The vet suspects hydrocephalus and we're still waiting for more updates.

We also suspect na baka nadaganan siya ng mama cat, since siya rin yung pinakamaliit sa magkakapatid. Hindi kami sure kung may kinalaman iyon sa condition niya or if congenital talaga.

Sobrang worried lang ako and gusto ko sana marinig yung experiences ng ibang furparents na dumaan sa ganito.
• Ano po yung naging symptoms ng kitten niyo?
• Paano niyo siya inalagaan sa bahay?
• Kailangan ba ng special feeding or physical therapy?
• Nag-improve po ba yung condition nila over time?
• May medications or treatments ba na nakatulong?

Any advice, experiences, or success stories would really help. First time ko po kasi magkaroon ng kitten na may ganitong condition and gusto ko siyang mabigyan ng best possible care.

Need advice lang from fellow cat owners, especially those who have experienced cryptorchidism in their cats.
My cat recently got neutered, but during the surgery, only one testicle was removed because the other one is undescended. The vet said it's okay and that my cat either can't have kittens anymore or has a very low chance of impregnating a female cat. They also mentioned that some sexual behaviors and urges may still be there, but should be less compared to before.
Now I'm wondering if I should still have another surgery done to find and remove the undescended testicle, or if it's okay to just leave it as is.

For those who have gone through the same situation:
• Did you proceed with a second surgery?
• If not, how did your cat do long-term?
• Did they still show mating behaviors like spraying, yowling, or trying to escape?
• Were there any health issues later on from leaving the undescended testicle?

Medyo nag-o-overthink lang ako and gusto ko sana marinig experiences ng iba before deciding. 😅
