So I’ve been posting for a couple weeks on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube shorts to try and grow my channels so I can use these platforms to funnel potential leads to buy my product. My product is a custom type of flea brush that uses a unique, purely mechanical mechanism to capture fleas, and my channels are of course dog/cat related because dog/cat owners are my target audience. To be specific I’m trying to find a target audience of the following features: Democratic, Environmentalist, Lives in a big city, 18-26 years old. My problem is that I can’t seem find the sweet spot for what would drive engagement on my posts. I’ve tested different kinds of topics such as political, humorous and educational, with the political content driving the most amount of engagement through comments but the like ratios on those types of video are always split and they don’t garner many followers. In addition to this, it’s hard to relate political content towards the main genre my channel falls into which is dog products. Could someone guide me on how to identify the right type of video for my target audience and how to maximize engagement on each of these platforms?
