Rescued This Dark-Skinned Beauty✨

I rescued this gorgeous dark-skinned Barbie today and I’m seriously so excited about her! ♥️

There’s just something about finding a doll that’s totally my style—it instantly makes the whole day better. 🥰

Does anyone know who this big-footed girl is? 👣😂

I rescued her from a thrift store today! I’m guessing she’s from around the early 2000s based on her face mold, but her feet are HUGE, and none of my Barbie shoes fit her. 😓

Does anyone recognize her? She has bendable rubber legs and actual toes, which I thought was pretty unusual!

What kind of shoes does she wear? I have no idea what to put on her! 😩👠

This price is honestly shocking😱

I found this picture online, but this doll costs $75 in my country. 😭 Even if it goes on sale, that price is just unbelievable… I don’t even know how to put it into words, but honestly, I’m pretty shocked. 😔

The Ken I rescued turned out to be a total hottie! 😍

The Ken I rescued the other day got a modern makeover, and now he’s seriously handsome! 😍✨

I had no idea his waist twists and he has those bendy rubber legs! 😲💕

He’s way better than the Kens they make these days!

Back When Barbie Was This Fabulous 💕

Barbies from this era just have this special magic that makes you happy just looking at them. 🥰

I can’t believe they were this amazing as playline dolls.

Except for the Twist Barbie, all of these girls are rescues. Whenever I see Barbies from this era, I seriously can’t resist the urge to bring them all home and give them a second life. 😂

I found such a cute face! ♥

I found these two at a recycle shop today. They were sold as a set for just $6! Ken is the prince from Swan Lake, but I’d never seen this Barbie before. I absolutely love her closed-mouth face—it’s totally my type! 😍

Her hair feels a bit cheap, so I’m guessing she’s probably a playline doll, but does anyone know who this girl is?

No Princess Barbies Lately?

Come to think of it, we haven’t seen many princess-style Barbies lately. So I decided to give Millie the princess treatment! I love a stylish look, but dressing her up in a gown like this reminded me just how much I love these kinds of dresses too.

This is the original Licca from the 1960s.

This is an original Licca doll from the 1960s.

I rescued her from my parents' storage shed.

She's not as fashionable as Licca today and she doesn't have a posable body, but that's what I love about her — so simple and charming💖

With my Barbies I want to collect and customize them with articulated bodies, but this girl is different. She's truly one-of-a-kind to me, so I want to keep her just as she is.

I finally did her hair and made her a little vintage-style outfit, and she looks so happy now🥰

Is This Really Barbie?

The Barbie Signature Robotics Barbie is cute, but I just can’t accept her as “Barbie.” I feel like she belongs in a completely different category.

I’d understand if she were released as a figure from an anime or movie, but as a Barbie? I’m not sure.

I’d love to hear what other Barbie lovers think about this. What do you guys think?

Stacie is a hidden gem! ✨

I’ve been having so much fun playing around with this Stacie lately. I made her lipstick a little darker and put her on a Barbie articulated body, and she suddenly looks like a supermodel! It feels like such a waste to keep Stacie as a little girl just because she’s Barbie’s little sister. I definitely recommend aging up Stacie—she looks amazing!

Is AI taking the fun out of the Barbie community on Instagram?

Just venting, but… doesn’t anyone else get tired of seeing so much AI-generated fashion in the Barbie community on Instagram lately? I don’t mind AI-generated backgrounds or turning photos into videos, but when the clothes and accessories the dolls are wearing are so obviously AI-generated, it just feels too perfect and kind of boring.

At that point, I’m like, “Why not just make the doll itself an AI-generated image too?”

I used to enjoy the community more when there was more of a handmade feel to it. There were so many things I could actually get inspiration from and try myself.

Or maybe I’m just not keeping up with the way things are going these days.

Keep or Donate? 🤔

I bought a bag of two Barbies at a thrift store today. One of them is Meditation Barbie, which is actually the one I wanted. She still makes sounds properly, and I love that she has an articulated body.

I’ve been thinking about downsizing my collection because it’s gotten bigger, so I’m having a hard time deciding what to do with the other doll—whether I should keep her or put her back in the donation pile.

What do you think I should do?
