Let me be clear, I get the whole non animals thing, but if they reason you do that is because animals with a nervous system are theoretically sentient, why not eat the countless animals that don’t have them? Gets you proper dietary needs without having to medicate yourself, still doesn’t harm a creature with a nervous system.
Poor little guy was dying at the edge of a low oxygen stretch of river. Not sure if that’s what got him or maybe a head injury, but poor bastard was not making it so I walked him to a spot with a bunch of bait fish to hopefully give him a chance. Yes know he’s a Red Breast, but they are all blugigis to me.
Nothing super fancy, but it balanced well, is comfy, and holds the swift 2 nicely. Can’t wait to do some fishing with it!

I’m currently trying to design a bino solution for the NVG30 that avoid the weight and bulk of the dual tube setup. It’ll be based on the PVS31 military spec housing and use a single infrared emitted and battery with supplemental battery pack charging. Local creek in Roanoke VA, same spot and caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 fish in 2 hours, absolutely amazing fish. First guy seemed to have some kind of deformity, but some insane coloring, thought he was bleeding at first, it was just his crazy vibrate red highlights.
