First prototype of a d4 dice for a alternative dice system I'm toying with
I'm looking at alternatives to the standard shapes, preferably something that can be easily made from wood. I realised most of the standard dice have a multiple of 4 faces and 4 can be a done with a cuboid. The basis of my system is you have a bag with these shapes and pull one out and roll it.
For d20 you have 5
1,20,6,15
2 19,7,14
3,18,8,13
4,17,9,12
5,16,10,11
Originally i was trying to cut square base pyramids on the ends to prevent the dice ending on its end which is quite tricky then realised i could do v shapes and offset them by 90 degrees
I felt clever then
