I just got this cutie last week (black/tan parti, left). He’s four months old and I have no idea what to name him! His sister Lydia (orange parti, right) is still unsure about him.
Any name ideas? So far I like Romeo
So few others and I got to talking in a previous post on here, and they said I should make a post when I manage to capture a picture of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail! These beauties are my absolutely favorite butterflies and I spent my childhood catching them (and then releasing them, of course). This one captured is a male, you can tell because he doesn’t have blue around the bottom of this wings. Females have a brilliant blue.
After I had the worst day yesterday, sobbed my eyes out, and had a complete breakdown, my bestie took me out and I saw this absolute beauty! I can’t say the horrible day was worth it but this guy made my day a bit brighter. (Anyone have advice on dealing with a person who cannot be spoken to or reasoned with? Like there is no ‘communication’, there’s no ‘conversation’. She just screams at me).
I rescued two hedgehogs from bad conditions. Everything you can think of that’s wrong was wrong — two hedgehogs together, MALE AND FEMALE!!! In a very very tiny cage, with a hamster wheel, plastic crinkly balls to play with, pine bedding… the works.
I’ve gotten them the appropriate wheel and heat lamps. I switched them to aspen and they’re food to IAMS cat food (it was some hedgehog brand — exotics I think). I also got them split into different cages, Lady (pictured below) is in a 47” cage and I ordered Acorn (pictured above in the house) is in the mail.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I have a three month old toy poodle named Anna. I groom her at home. My aunt keeps telling me I need to pull all the hair out of her ears, but upon some research I saw that this might be an outdated practice. So, how do you all do ear care? Do you pull the hair out?
Hi, I got my steam deck in yesterday! I really wanted to play modded Java Minecraft (it was sort of the point of me getting it, but there was obviously other benefits). I managed to get Minecraft running yesterday but whenever I try to sign into Microsoft it acts like it’s signed in but then it still says “Add Microsoft” when I look at the account. When I was fiddling with it today it said Status: Errored so I deleted it and tried again to add my account and it says Status: Ready but still says “add Microsoft account” so I’m at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m not experienced with computers.
What cages do you all use? I saw a lot of really nice big cages but they all have an open top and I have dogs and a cat so that’s definitely not an option. They’re in a Midwest Homes for Pets Deluxe. I can’t remember if it’s the 47.2L x 19.7W or if it’s the 55.5”L x 23.7W. I have two males (Twix is the big one and Oreo is the little one). They get along great, have two hides, and eat together. They usually are in different hides but can be found together, too. Twix is 9 months old and Oreo is pretty young. I got them from two different places, one was an accident breeding (gender mishap) and Oreo from the pet store. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
