I know creators are people too. They have lives outside of all of this, they can get overwhelmed, take breaks, or disappear for personal reasons. I’m not expecting someone to be online 24/7.
But I do struggle with creators who take commissions, accept support and payments, make promises, or leave people waiting on things — and then completely vanish from every social platform for weeks or even months with no explanation.
I’m not asking for a full life update or a detailed explanation. Sometimes even a simple “I’m taking a break” or “I’m okay” would be enough. Just one sentence. One word. Anything that shows there is still someone there.
Maybe this is selfish, but when people support a creator’s work, it’s hard not to worry when they suddenly disappear. Communication goes a long way, especially when other people are left waiting or wondering if everything is abandoned.
What do you all think? Is it fair to expect some kind of notice, or should creators be able to disappear whenever they need to?

I'm trying to follow an adress link on Ko-fi of a creator. It had been working perfectly just two days ago, but now, whenever I enter the link, it re-derects me Ko-fi's feed page 💀 The creator's page is still active, I can see the profile's image when I search, yet not matter what I do it keeps me on the feed page.
I've tried : deleting cache, cookies and datas. Tried on other accounts and browser. I've deleted my Ko-fi profile and created a new one, still the same.

I love Alien Stage, but I’m genuinely tired of how inconsistent some fans interpretation gets depending on which character is involved
When an “Alien” character or an off-screen antagonist does something invasive or harmful to the main cast, fans naturally react with:
“That’s awful” “They’re dangerous” “They crossed a line” (they are right don’t get me wrong.)
But when a favoured character does something similar (or even the same kind of action), a different lens suddenly gets applied:
“It’s complicated” “They didn’t mean it like that” “It’s romantic / emotional / context matters"
This is especially obvious with characters like Ivan and Till. The story already makes it clear that both of them are deeply traumatized, emotionally messy, and honestly selfish at times. That’s literally part of their characterization
Ivan is not written as a flawless tragic angel. Till is not written as a pure innocent victim. They both act out of emotion, obsession, fear, survival instincts, attachment, etc. That’s the point. Their relationship is intense, confusing, and often unhealthy in ways that are explicitly shown in the narrative
But fandom interpretation often seems to split into two extremes:
Either:
Ivan is a pure self-sacrificing tragic lover who can do no wrong Till is a completely innocent, emotionally distant victim who never contributes to the dynamic
OR the opposite depending on who you ask.
What frustrates me is not that people interpret things differently, that’s normal. It’s that consistency disappears. Because if we’re honest about the writing, a lot of these characters: act selfishly at times, project their emotions onto others, fail to understand consent/emotional boundaries in healthy ways, are shaped by trauma and survival conditions.
So it feels weird when people (not all) "erases" those flaws who are apart of them.
I don’t think the answer is to demonize characters or strip them of nuance. If anything, the nuance is the entire appeal of the story.
