I can pretty much dunk off vert but can’t get higher.

Title sums it up. 16yo, 6’2, 178lbs, 10% body fat and maybe 8’2 reach or something like that (i’m not sure all i know is my wingspan is like 6’4)

Basically i can dunk off vert a little sometimes but the max height i can get is off like one or two steps. I struggle to get higher even off a running start. What could be my jumping deficit and how can i tackle this issue?

Is a 34-35 inch vertical leap above average? 16M

I’m 6’2 about to turn 16 and my vertical leap is measured at ~35 inches. I can easily grab the rim with both hands and easily touch it with a backscratcher or windmill motion. Dunking wise I still struggle sometimes to get a clean one, but when I’m feeling it I can get a clean one handed off both one and two legs. I’ve attempted a clean two hander but it still flies over the rim. I haven’t done much training for my vertical specifically besides casual weightlifting so I might start training plyos and stuff. Do I have 40+ inch vert potential? Im currently easily the most athletic on my basketball team since the seniors are gone and I’ll be a sophomore. Currently I do a PPL split in the gym with some added leg workouts for the shin muscles and stuff and I also spend 1 and a half hours every day practicing basketball and dunking on 9’6.

What can I do about my thin and flakey hair?

what hairstyle should I get and also how can I add a structure that will stay? I wash my hair every other day but it still is just flat and u healthy looking, not to mention I have dry scalp flakes all the time.

this is me. Upcoming sophomore in HS and I need help. I’m 6’2 and I can jump decently high enough to throw it down. Actually I’m the only one on the team that can dunk now since the seniors are leaving. I’m also decently fast and I’m learning to use my size and length for advantages. My shot is decent from mid range and not horrible from the 3. It’s just that I’m a dumb basketball player.

Im not a dumb person, but I can’t enter flow state when I play basketball. I don’t have enough experience or something. I just don’t know how to play the sport and could be very good if I knew how to. Feels like I don’t have the hardware installed so I have to act like I do.

It’s off season/pre season and I’ve been getting way bigger in the weight room and further increasing my athleticism, as well as bagwork, handles, and form shooting. I can’t do much else and I don’t know how to address my main issue.

Basically I’m a freshman guy turning 16 this summer and this 8th grade girl who is turning 15 wants to talk to me. I just think it’s weird because most guys in my age group either date our own age or older and I feel like people would make fun of me or something idk. I find her interesting though so is it strange? I think my view of this is just flawed at this point. Also I rarely see her since she only passes through the high school for one class and then spends the day in the middle school still. It will change next year ofc and be less weird.

I almost never see someone taller than me at my high school. In public, Im usually a few inches taller than people and it’s not that much noticeable, but in church it’s a different story. it’s like almost everyone is 6’5+ and I don’t even come close 😭. I think I still have some inches left because my shoes are getting smaller. I want to reach the tallest I can for basketball.
