Pretty little baby

I stepped out of the room for just a moment, and that’s when she hid there. I started to panic while looking for her.

New guest!

Warmly welcomes Jule!

She is a juvenile who will stay with us until she is big enough for an aviary with other juveniles.

Working in animal welfare can be so heartbreaking sometimes.

When the racing pigeons have to go to the shelter, kept in a tiny box with no idea how long for, and then you don’t know what the breeder does with them once he picks them up. But there are so many pigeons. It would be selfish to save just one and neglect all the others for it, and the breeders need to face consequences too.

Pigeon poop doesn’t destroy walls. Bad diet does.

Crazy how much cities could save on cleaning costs if pigeons were fed right.

Left = city pigeon poop. Right = my properly fed pigeons at home.

This little troublemaker

She needs a break, because she wants to chase the other pigeon away.

Just one of many homing pigeons that don’t make it back.

This is my sweet Jenny ❤️ She’s a homing pigeon from Poland. She was found here in Germany and ended up with me, a Polish woman.

Pigeon racing needs to be banned!!!

Too many birds end up stranded on the streets or die a miserable death.

Poor thing

Carrier pigeons stranded in Dresden were luckily found by a pigeon association.
