Anyone else find they train better solo than following a program or working with a trainer?

I tried working with a personal trainer for a while and just felt constantly pushed if I didn't hit every target. Might've just been the wrong trainer or the wrong style for me, but it made me realize I actually do better on my own.

How do you deal with distractions at home, kids, chores, the couch right there, when you're trying to get a workout in?

I swear I plan to work out and then somehow end up doing literally anything else around the house instead. How do you all actually make it happen?

What's a "boring" exercise that actually gave you the best results, way more than the flashy ones?

I spent so long chasing exercises that looked impressive instead of the ones that actually worked. Turns out plain old squats and rows did more for me than any of the fancier stuff I kept switching to. What "boring" move ended up being a game changer for you, the kind you'd never bother posting about but would never actually skip.

At what point does the fat actually start coming off and the muscle starts showing?

I've been lifting consistently for months, eating in a deficit the whole time. I know the muscle's there, I can feel it and my numbers keep climbing, but it's still hiding under fat. I'd love to actually see some shape instead of just feeling bigger underneath. My protein's probably nowhere near where it should be. Anyone been through this and actually seen it start to show?

What's your biggest challenge with staying consistent?

For me it's the all-or-nothing thinking. Miss one day and suddenly the whole week feels written off.

What’s your favorite fitness supplement right now?

Went through a phase of trying everything but the only one I genuinely notice a difference with is creatine. Curious what everyone else is actually using.

I kind of just take each day as it goes, but would be curious where you are landing at the moment?

A) Full body 3x a week, keeping it simple

B) Push/pull/legs, something that feels structured

C) Upper/lower split, half and half feels best

D) No real split, I just train what feels right that day
