The best strikers in the world have dragged their teams to the next rounds. It's what we're sorely missing

Mbappe, Messi, Haaland, Kane have all showed up match after match to get their teams to the next round. Their teams have been good but they've been great, and that's been the difference.

Considering almost every soccer loving kid wants to be a striker, why are good ones so hard to come by? What will it take for us to develop world-class forwards for the next WC? Do we even have the infrastructure and resources, or is our best bet courting young players from other nations?

Paraguay got a national holiday for advancing to the Round of 16. What level of success would the Canada MNT have to hit for Canadians to get a stat holiday?

Paraguay President Santiago Pena declared a national holiday for Tuesday to celebrate the country’s shock victory over Germany that sent them into the World Cup round of 16.

Canada has already qualified for the next round. But could something similar ever happen here? What would it take for PM Carney to declare a national holiday?

A round of 16 win?

A quarterfinal win?

A semifinal win?

I don't think Canadians have ever got a national holiday for a sports win, not even gold in the 2010 Olympics in men's hockey.

Michael Wilson finished 2025 as a Top 12 WR in PPR. Why is everyone so low on him this year?

Wilson's production came mostly after Week 11, when Marvin Harrison Jr was hurt, but he went on to put up monster numbers, and weekly fantasy points higher than MHJ did all season. The sentiment at the end of last season was that Wilson may have supplanted MHJ as top target on the team.

I just checked FantasyPros and he's ranked WR41.

I don't think he's as high as Top 12, and I don't think he's as low as WR41.

What is your outlook for Wilson? Do you think MHJ has a year 3 breakout?
