Most nights doing double features.
Just finished the demo and loved it. Couldn’t help but appreciate Bruno’s VISION. Reminded me of Fort Frolic.
Hi everyone,
I have joint custody of my toddler son, and our current schedule means he transitions between households very frequently. Right now, my parenting time looks like this:
-Two 5-hour daytime visits during the week
-Alternating weekends (one weekend is Saturday
8am to Sunday 4pm; the off-weekend is just a Saturday or Sunday day-visit).
His mom and I agreed to start potty training on August 20th, and I’m strictly following the Oh Crap method at my place. Because we are doing this separately at our own homes and I have these shorter custody windows, it feels like I can never build sustained momentum.
My biggest concern right now: we're having a lot of floor accidents, and I’m worried he’s starting to think peeing on the floor is just the new normal at my house.
Has anyone successfully navigated potty training (specifically Oh Crap) as a co-parent when the child spends frequent, short bursts of time between two homes? How do I build consistency and prevent regressions when I only have him for a few hours at a time before he transitions back?
Any tips or solidarity for this specific dynamic would be hugely appreciated!
