Just getting into this, not all the way as of posting this. Not what I expected, very folk oriented acoustic on some songs. Hyrde’s other album is some very good lo fi black metal. The way this title and the other one selling out so fast you would think a new legend in black metal is being made.

Black metal with a western edge. I know, “not another Wayfarer“. This is really good, the genre can live outside of what Wayfarer does.

Combining some older EPs for a vinyl release to get us ready for a new album. I originally had digital copies of these EPs, they sound so much better now. Of all the black metal music I listen to Gudsforladt is probably my favorite.
Wolftower’s first four demos on this LP, I’m becoming a fan. Low fi atmospheric with the kitchen sink approach to black metal. Better than I expected.

Members of Stormkeep, Wayfarer, and Blood Incantation. Some type of weird black metal offshoot. Had a Discogs order that needed to up the minimum and recognized this band.

Find of the week here. I had a Discogs order that had a minimum and was looking for something to get the dollars up. Looking what this seller had, I looked up Alum Occulta and saw they were from Portland, Oregon. Described as cascadian black metal. Great album.
A huge Fates Warning fan for decades of both Arch and Alder eras. This album and the first Arch/Matheos are just insane progressive metal, perfection.

I’m a OG fan now, came in the mail today. Newest LP on the way next week. I’m still amazed when I find a new artist that’s been around awhile that I never heard of before. And I saw a post on here about Oldowan Gash last week.
Such a great EP, hope more music is coming out from this guy from Boston.
Turntable is taking the night off. Habak from Mexico, post black metal kind of, some really good atmospheric elements in their music. And you can tell they are from Mexico not that the vocals are in Spanish, it’s the music.
Great album, from the last Wergild drop, cassette sounds really good. Got back into cassettes about five years ago, thought the medium was dead. Now I have close to 80, I’ll take them over CDs. The analog sound is just better.
