Probably totally dense, but I have no idea where my books are supposed to go from calibre. I have created a Books folder on my Kindle in the Koreader folder and I’ve also tried to tell calibre where to send. I am on an iMac, is MTP the problem here? From what I’ve gathered, I can’t open calibre and Open MTP at the same time, otherwise I would just try to drag and drop. Kinda lost right now 😅
I discovered that there is mould in our 3 AC units. We had them installed last May. I immediately called the company who installed them and they came over this morning to clean them. But now I am totally freaked out about mould spores in the house. I have obviously been airing the house since finding out, I also have a large air purifier which I move around the house and usewhen the windows are closed. I am now uncertain whether the AC is safe to use. I would like to know what needs to be done to get the house as clean as possible. Has anybody here got experience with such an issue?
Side note: I am thinking of getting a steam cleaner to do carpets and other surfaces.
Does anyone happen to know which version of the plugin (and perhaps Calibre?) I need to get my books into calibre? I keep getting KFX zip files and I'm getting annoyed after spending several hours trying. I'm not seeing the point of my jailbreak right now...
My old kindle pw 7th gen, which im using for the dedrm, still runs 5.16.2.1.1 my newer one was on 5.19.5 when I did the Vera jb. I used the most recent version of dedrm and KFX input plugin (2.33.0) and I've tried v10.0.5 of dedrm. I'm on MacOs.
I’ll be going to Edinburgh with my family soon and I’m thinking of what lens/lenses to take with me. I really just want to take one or two and I can't decide.
So my question is what do you recommend?
I have a z5 ii and these are my lenses:
- 50mm f1.8
- 24-70mm f4 S
- AF-S 85mm 1.8 G (with the adapter)
- I'm also thinking of buying the 40 mm F2 for the sake of portability, would that be wise?
We will be running around with the toddler and doing toddler friendly activities around the city, so indoor and outdoor photography of the city and the kid.
I've heard some YouTubers say that the charger the X3 uses is a proprietary piece. I know some people worry about losing the cable. But you can actually get quite cheap adapters from Amazon et cetera. Pogo 4-pin chargers are apparently used in some smart watches. Hope this helps.
I’m posting this in case anyone searching the web with the same issue needs a solution.
I’ve been using Crosspoint 1.4.1 and CrossInk 1.4.0-tiny on my XTEink X3 for two weeks now. However, I suspect this issue applies to any or most firmware versions as it’s a hardware problem with the XTEink SD card.
I noticed I couldn’t open newly transferred .epub files. Opening a book triggered the Crossink “indexing” notification and then returned me to the home screen. I initially assumed it was an issue with the files.
Then I was very frustrated when I tried copying over some new .bmp pics for my sleep screen. On my X3, they either displayed as a white screen or only the lower parts of the image were visible. It randomly managed to display the odd image correctly. I tried different converters, and it drove me crazy.
Since the issue was random and I’d considered replacing the micro SD which came with my e-reader anyway (I generally don’t trust no-name drives for long-term use) I went ahead and bought a SanDisk Ultra.
To make a long story short, it worked!
I simply formatted the new SD and copied all the files including the hidden ones from the XTEink SD to the SanDisk and my X3 booted up on the page I’d left open. I was then able to transfer the other books and images that were giving me trouble without any problems.
If the issues persisted I’d only have copied parts of the files like .crossink .crosspoint settings and stats or sth like that.
