Need some direction on what's next in my career

I have an associates degree in Mechanical drafting and design. I have 7 years as a mechanical designer, designing fixtures, machine and robot cells and tooling, test benches.

Im in my early 30s and feel like I need to get a 4 year degree especially since I do the same level of work as the other engineers in my group. I was all in on mechanical engineering but it's looking like 8 years of school if everything goes perfectly. The time commitment is daunting. I had a talk with my manager and he thinks it would be better to get a degree that's not ABET accredited, or something less intensive since my experience is so valuable and get a degree for something along the lines of applied engineering or mechanical engineering technology that I could do in 4-5 years. I tend to agree with him but I've been overloaded with information and I'm just feeling lost on what I should do.

What do you guys think? What would you do in my shoes?

My ex wife shows up in my dreams on a nightly basis

We were married for 10 years and it's been 2 years since she left. We are friendly to each other I accepted awhile ago that she's gone and if she came to my door begging for forgiveness I would not want her back. But these dreams I have every night of us being together and being happy are fucking with my head so bad. I've thought about it deeply and no part of me wants to be with her, but my subconscious keeps fucking me up.

I've worked so hard on my mental health in the last year and loving myself. I've been working hard in the gym, eating right, cut back on drinking to maybe once a month socially, and stopped smoking weed everyday. I even became a big reader, which was never like me, but what was a distraction became a passion. I've come so far but it feels like this is the last thing dragging me down and I wish I could make it stop. Some nights I don't want to go to sleep because I know it'll happen again. I just wish I had a solution.

Is it worth getting a handheld PC now?

I was debating building my own mini PC / steam machine for living room gameplay and taking it with me to places, but decided it's not worth the investment since I already have a nice desktop PC that I built two years ago. Now I've been considering a handheld.

I know it's a terrible time to be thinking about it due to shortanges, but is there a handheld that's worth buying today? I only play through steam, the steam deck sounds like a poor investment after the price increase. I think id use it to play games like Diablo, rdr2, halo mcc, and some other solo games since I have a huge back log of those. I think I'd want to install bazzite on it, and yes I know I can't play certain games due to Linux compatibility. Looking to spend less that $1200
