Sources, secondary and tetriary, are mixed. Western sphere does not mention CIA, arabian sphere mostly does or does not mention.

Since the region has been destabilised ever since that year, any primary sources are extremely difficult to find, because obviously the people there had more important issues than to investigate the first coup backgroud.

The CIA has a history of backing up coups in developing countries in favor of the US, however actual rock-solid proof was not found by my (admittedly not academic) research in this case. And the effects are often extremely long-term, like the assistance in the assassination of Patrice Lumumba in Congo, or the revolution in Iran, spanning decades, further deepening the importance of certainty of information.

I am also interested in getting access First-hand sources of historical events in the region across all countries. I would prefer either on-line sources or places inside Schengen, for i do not have the reach going further. Does anyone have experience with similar desire in this community?

Help is much apreciated in both cases.

I cannot find a confidential source on this issue anywhere. Arab sources say yes, western sources do not mention certain intelligence agency in any way. There is enough source scarcity already, and the fact itself is unbelievably important in this sence, since the Syrian democracy dissapeared that year and came back after the end of the civil war in 2024.

The confidentiality is crucial in this particular sense, for I am writing letters to the president of my country with a request*.*

Helping with improving my finding of reliable sources from the historical period and region would also be apreciated.
