Scared to take Ozempic

Hi all. I just got a prescription for Ozempic, and I'm nervous about starting it. I spent what seems like a lifetime committed to health and fitness, on and off. At my fittest (3 years ago), I had a six-pack and was in fantastic shape. But maintaining those healthy habits can be extremely difficult as life continues to throw curveballs, and as such, my weight and fitness levels have fluctuated wildly over the years. I am F/46 and got out of a 26-year psychologically abusive relationship about 4.5 years ago. I went into full-on menopause two years ago, and I have suffered with Ulcerative Colitis for probably 15 years (finally managed now). My 18-year-old son suffers from Major Depressive Disorder, and until about 6 months ago, I had been on suicide watch for several years. Thankfully, he is in a partial remission now, and I want to get my life back. The difficult life path aside, menopause has completely robbed me of the energy I used to have to power through my workouts. I started HRT two months ago, and it's helped, but it's very slow going. My weight has been steadily creeping up over the past 18 months as my workouts have been inconsistent and my meal planning and prep have been pretty much non-existent due to fatigue. Even with a decent diet and some exercise, the scale just keeps climbing. I'm completely exhausted after work every day. I don't know why I'm nervous about starting Ozempic. I honestly think it will give me the boost/motivation I need to get those healthy habits going again. I'm definitely afraid of potential side effects. I'm a single mom with a very demanding job, and I feel like everything is on me. I'm scared. Sole provider, and all that. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated.
