What's happening?

After delayed response from the doctor (Thanks medical system!) and a lot of contemplation i started with Ozempic.

Paid out of pocket, started at 0.25 ml.

I have been having more anxiety regarding what the journey will be like.

Have no drastic side effects, just that I am unable to focus my eyes on things for a bit, am constantly crossing my eyes.

I still feel hungry sometimes, I eat stuff, keep feeling full and my bladder always feels like they're going to burst but nothing happens.

Might be can talk to someone at a later stage for some relatability and to stop from overthinking further.

Feel free people :)

cognitive dissonance (?) regarding food noise/hunger

I am on week 5 now, just moved up to .5mg. Didn't notice a huge difference with the step up, frankly. Since the beginning it's been pretty much the same "feeling" of not hungry but kinda hungry still? It's like if I zone in on what I'm feeling, I don't feel hungry, but there's background feeling that I am hungry - if that makes at all any sense.

Is this just old eating habits that are hard to break? I am a bad snacker and eat out of comfort and boredom a lot. I also take a lot of enjoyment in food. Like when I wake up in the morning and go to work, I just really enjoy my little piece of toast with a bit of cheese on it and my morning coffee with me in the car, so I feel that pull.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of "cognitive dissonance" where you don't feel hungry but do feel hungry at the same time. It's not nausea at all, but just a kind of lingering feeling in my stomach that's new and I can't quite put my finger on it. Does it go away after some time?

i've been looking into trimrx for the past few days and the reviews seems pretty mixed depending on where I check. some ppl say the process was smooth while others mention shipping delays or communication problems.

would love to hear some recent experiences before I decide. good or bad, how was it for you?

1,000,001 ozempic questions: but I will condense it down to 3

Hey everyone!

I have been on Ozempic for almost 5 weeks at the 0.25 dose. It has been pretty great so far, I have lost 8.9 lbs and have been steadily making small changes so I don't completely overwhelm myself (love an all or nothing personality). With that being said, the initial weight was majority lost in the first week, which I know is pretty normal, but I have been hovering around the same spot up until recently, where I have lost another pound.

Right out the gate, my cravings were minimal but I can slowly feel them creeping their way back (especially since I am heading towards my luteal phase). Basically, I have way too many questions for just one thread, so I do apologize but this is off the top of my head.

  1. Should I stay at 0.25? Or should I factor in the weeks where there was no fluctuation? Does it really make a big difference jumping up to 0.5?

  2. Should I base my decision on increasing less on weight and more on food noise and craving control instead?

  3. For those of you have chosen to stay at a low dosage, what has that experience been like for you?

Along with my general questions, I also have a trip coming up. I am wondering if it is worth navigating side effects while on a trip or if I should just wait to increase my dose when I come back (last thing I want is to be sick or tired on a trip 6 months in the making).

I know this is way too many things to ask but I am tired of scouring the internet for answers when I know there are amazing people on the same journey who can share their experiences with me. Thanks in advance!

Worried about lying to bf about ozempic

I (F18) am planning to start on either wegovy or mounjaro. A lot of people have a misconception that they’re extremely dangerous but they’re actually very safe and have a lot of different pros other than the weightloss. The main bad thing about them is the price and lack of availability. My bf (M18) is one of those people who thinks it’s dangerous, he worries a lot and gets very anxious. I’m worried that he’ll be scared and anxious all the time once i start which is why i haven’t told him i have a second consultation with my doctor about it. I don’t know if it’s really a lie if i just don’t mention it to him but i know I’ll feel like a liar. I genuinely just don’t want him to be stressed. Can anyone give me some advice ?

Diarrhea?

My friend and I went to Costco in Mexicali to get Ozempic. We figured those Costco is so ruled driven that unlike the other places we would not get counterfeit. neither one of us felt any impact of the .25 so I went up to the .5 level five days later I got the worst case of diarrhea

ever would this be from the Ozempic, when this have only happened like the day after I took the shot?

Ozempic Question/Struggle

I am on month four of my Ozempic journey with no results. I do eat super healthy. I cook my own food. I am on OMAD and IF. I fast for 22 hours and eat for 2. I do not consume carbs or sugars and I am not diabetic. I do eat protein from different sources and fiber from leafy vegetables and fruits. I do eat cheese, too. I incline walk for 35-40 minutes six days week, and I walk 3 miles daily. I do not exceed 1500 calories. Once a week, I fast for 24 hours. I do not eat junk or processed food. I do not consume anything unhealthy. My doctor keeps saying to give it more time, but it has been four moths.

I am doing everything right, however, the weight loss is not happening. I would appreciate any advice and learn from others with similar experience.

W: 197P

H: 5'3

Ozempic: 1mg (the highest dose available in my country).

Thanks!

Is there no pen that lasts a month?

Sorry for the dumb question.

If I take 1ml a month and the pen only holds 3ml - I will never get a month out of it. And by the time you’re on 2ml you’ll need 3 pens to make it a month. So $450 a month here in Australia.

Is there no bigger pen or cheaper way to get it. Is it the same for Munjaro which is already more than double that of Ozempic?

Semaglutide in Canada

I am looking for advice about going on a generic semaglutide. I’m located in Canada and generics have just been approved and should become available shortly. I have not pursued a GLP-1 up until this point due to the cost, but I will be able to afford it now with the expected lower pricing. I’ve tried dieting many times over the years but I last a short time and gain it all back plus more. I want to lose weight so I can keep up better with my young kids and be around longer and be healthier for them.

I think I prefer to try going through my family doctor first. Has anyone in Canada had issues getting prescribed ozempic off label for weight loss? Does anyone know if it will be possible to get the generics without a T2D diagnosis? I do not have type two diabetes but I do have a BMI of over 40. Any idea of how logistics will work for this? Can I just ask my doctor to prescribe the generic even if it’s not available yet?

I am also nervous about telling close friends and family. I’m not sure that I do want to tell but I’m sure people will wonder at some point. Curious if anyone has pointers on that as well.

Micro dosing safely - UK

Hello all, I tried wegovy the prescribed way and on the starting dose it had an awful impact on me (depression, anxiety, nausea) so I stopped after 5-6 weeks. That was 2 years ago.
I’m now looking to resume but on a micro dosing basis, taking tiny clicks every day. Any recommendations who I can talk to about this? My GP has no clue.
I would like to start asap…and want to do it safely.

Out of pocket compounded semaglutide pricing is doing weird things lately

Blunt take, I've been tracking compound sema pricing for the last 5 months on like 8 different platforms. Early this year the floor was around $99 a month for a basic starter. Now the lowest legit option I find is closer to $115. Midrange platforms have crept up about $20 to $30 on 3 month plans. High end didn't move much.

Anyone else watching this or am I imagining things. And yes I know I could just stop tracking but my brain doesn't work that way.

GLP-1 users, I'd love to hear about your experience!

Hi everyone 👋

I'm a postgraduate student at Imperial College in London and I'm evaluating the support that GLP-1 users receive alongside their prescription, specifically around muscle loss, nutrition, and exercise. I've put together a short anonymous survey (under 5 minutes) and would really appreciate your help:

This is purely an academic evaluation for my studies. All responses are completely anonymous. If you'd also be happy to share your experience in a short 15-minute chat, feel free to drop me a message.

Thank you so much in advance!

My dad almost quit Ozempic because of the constipation.

Six months ago my dad called me almost in tears.

He'd been on semaglutide for four months. Lost 24 pounds, his doctor was thrilled. But he told me he was thinking about stopping, not because it wasn't working. Because the constipation and bloating were making him miserable every single day.

My mom was dealing with the same thing. Almost a week without going to the bathroom. Felt heavy and backed up constantly, even on days she'd barely eaten anything.

I watched them try everything. Fiber. Miralax. Magnesium. Water until they couldn't look at a glass anymore. Some things helped a little. Nothing fixed it.

So I started digging into why and what I found frustrated me more than anything.

There wasn't one product on the market designed specifically for people on GLP-1 medications. Not one. Everything on the pharmacy shelf was built for a gut that works normally. The fiber supplements. The magnesium capsules. The stool softeners. None of them were made for what GLP-1 actually does to your digestion.

So I built something that was.

Northum is a daily digestive capsule with magnesium citrate and a fiber blend, both chosen specifically for GLP-1 users. Not a laxative you reach for when things get bad. Something you take every night as part of your routine.

Before we launch I put together a short quiz. Two minutes. It'll tell you whether what I built is actually designed for your situation.

I'M NOT SELLING YOU ANYTHING!

Should I try Ozempic?

I fear the side effects because I'm not diabetic. I've seen a lot of friends lose weight but what if I only wanted to lose like 10 or 15 pounds. Can I use it for a few weeks and then just stop? What side effects did you have when you used it?

Ozempic starting at a healthy BMI

Did anyone start off at a normal/healthy BMI and went on ozempic to “only” lose about 20 lbs? If so, how long did it take? Most importantly, did you gain it back went you went off, or were you able to maintain your new weight?
