Ozempic 0.5mg is making it hard for me to eat.

I started with 0.5mg this week, and since then I haven't been able to eat anything. I feel a bit weak and hungry, but I can only eat a tiny amount. My weight's going down, but it seems like it's muscle. I'm trying to prioritize protein, but I just can't eat anything – only water or electrolytes. Last week I was complaining that 0.25mg wasn't doing much, but 0.5mg turned out to be too much. I'm still strength training without issues, but yeah, I'm really weak. What should I do? Any tips or experiences you can share, and how did you get through it? Should I go back to 0.25mg? I've only lost 3.5kgs so far (in 5 weeks).

Plant protein tastes so bad

Hey guys, I'm on Ozempic for weight loss and need to hit 100-110g of protein daily. I used to do whey, but it made me super bloated, so I switched to unflavored Cosmix plant protein. Problem is, it tastes so bad I can barely get down half a glass a day! Any ideas on how to use it besides a regular shake? It's chalky and gross, but I'm stuck with plant protein. Please help me out with some recommendations or recipes where I can add this powder, just not with Greek yogurt.

Ozempic injection site + no weight loss after 2 weeks – is this normal?

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate hearing from people who've been through this.

I'm on my second week of Ozempic 0.25 mg. So far, I haven't lost any weight—not even 1 kg. I can still eat large portions, my food cravings are pretty much the same, and I don't get nauseous even if I eat a lot. It's making me wonder if something is wrong or if I just need to be more patient.

I also had a question about the injection site. Is there any difference between injecting above the belly button vs. below the belly button (while staying at least 2 inches away from the navel)? Does injecting above the belly button make Ozempic less effective, or does the location not matter as long as it's injected into subcutaneous fat?

Lastly, does Ozempic help improve metabolism or correct hormonal imbalances (such as insulin resistance or PCOS-related issues), or does it mainly work by reducing appetite and slowing stomach emptying?

Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you didn't notice much effect during the first few weeks. Thanks!

Tips for travelling with Ozempic/Mounjaro on a long flight?

Hi everyone,

I have a long-haul international flight (about 20 hours including layovers) and need to travel with my Ozempic/Mounjaro pen. How do you keep it cool during travel?

Has anyone used a FRIO pouch, insulin travel case, or any other method?

Any tips or things to watch out for would be really helpful.

Thanks!

New to Ozempic- need help

I'm 44, female, 99kg with a BMI of 36.3, and I'm dealing with early menopause, probably from the chemo I had for breast cancer in 2018. My periods have been all over the place since then. I also had thyroid issues since 2022, but that's under control now. Still, my weight keeps going up, and I'm at 99kg. I have intense food cravings, especially for sugar. Even though I do strength training three times a week and sometimes walk, my weight hasn't budged. My endocrinologist suggested Ozempic or Mounjaro to help with hormones and cravings.

From tomorrow, i would start using ozempic and need some guidance and possibly some tips on how to handle the side effects.. especially hairloss. I take D, b12, omega 3, magnesium already... should i consider including some hair growth supplements as well to balance it out along with proper diet.. would that help...
