Quick guide for using Claude to manage your KDP ads. Works really nice. Great for starting publishers or if you are on a low budget.

I started publishing this year, and the whole KDP ads is a bit overwhelming and complicated. I assumed there must be a better way to do this. But most solution where very expensive solution that are not realistic for someone starting out.

I then looked into using Claude, but that was quite tricky at first as Claude does not have direct access to your KDP ads. And getting API access can be tricky, but it turned out to be much easier.

I registered with one of the AI ads sites, but only chose the free subscription, this gave me MCP access to KDP ads.

I then added this MCP server to Claude and also searched for some skills to add to Claude.

Once I did that, I can now chat to Claude asking it to analyse my existing campaigns, add new campaigns etc. Just by using normal questions.

Needed a cable clamp that actually fits… so I made a fully parametric one (Saddle + P‑Clip)

I was routing some cables the other day and got annoyed that none of the clamps I had actually fit what I needed. The ones I had were either too loose, too tight, wrong screw size, wrong footprint… you know the drill.

So I ended up making a fully parametric cable clamp generator with two styles:

  • Saddle strap — the classic two‑hole strap that arches over the cable
  • P‑clip — the openable loop with two prongs that tighten when you drive a screw through them

Everything is adjustable: cable diameter, clearance, band thickness, screw‑hole size, foot/prong length, even the P‑clip gap. I made it so I can generate exactly the clamp I need in a few seconds instead of digging through a box of “almost fits”.

Prints on its side, no supports.

If anyone else has been frustrated by the “one size fits none” cable clamps, here’s the model.

Model is here:

Has KDP and the ads site always been like this?

I just started using KDP end of April. And the KDP site and then also the ads site is pretty bad. It is just frustrating to use, and feels like a site made 10 years ago.

I was wondering if this is something that actually has changed (improved) from even worse, or is this just a site that does not get a lot of attention from Amazon?

Parametric Print‑in‑Place Daily Tracker (1–6 Columns)

I often forget during the day if I took my supplements that day so I made a print‑in‑place sliding tracker that you can customize for 1 to 6 columns.

Each column has a smooth slider that prints fully assembled. No supports, no glue, no post‑processing.

Print‑in‑place sliders — move smoothly right off the bed

Fully parametric — choose number of columns and column names

Nothing fancy — just a thing I kept wishing existed in my workshop. Set the diameter and height you want, print, screw the lid on. The threads print without supports which I was not expecting to work first try (it didn't, took about six tries).

Using them for screws, drill bits, and other little knick-knacks.

File's free on MakerWorld if it's useful to anyone:
