I had some positive pregnancy tests and then negative, with painful cramps and bleeding. Tests now negative. But the spotting is start/stop now and im in a fair amount of pain (in lower back, and abdominally) I am bloated/nauseous. Its most likely a "chemical pregnancy" as i was only about 4 and a half weeks. But its 5 days since the heavy bleeding started and so im confused what's going on. Are there any cases of positive pregnancy tests turning negative with bleeding that ended up being ectopic? Thanks

Hello, Im currently having my first chemical preganancy/ very early miscarriage. Its been a real emotional rollercoaster. I'm not sure how I'm feeling or how to make sense of it. My husband is supportive but he handles things very differently and understands I'm upset, but wants to move forward (although, its hard to do that while its current). Ive only told my dad otherwise, he is also supportive but says I should maybe think of it as just a late period so I dont dwell and get too upset. Which I understand but we had nearly a week of thinking we were having another baby.

I had a negative pregnancy test at doctors before a routine female appointment, bit disappointing but I wasnt planning on testing for a few days anyway. While away for my husbands birthday, I thought my period came, so used tampon so I could use the spa (steam room hot tub etc). But period stopped and didnt come back so when we got home I did a pink line test. I had a really faint line, almost thought I was crazy until husband saw it too. We had a positive digital test the next day, 1-2 weeks! Cue excitement .. but id been having horrendous cramps since the holiday so knew something wasnt right. Two days later in afternoon, negative digital test. Was so upset. Did another the next morning, was positive. Doctors just told me to wait it out despite pain as I was only 4 weeks gestational. Two days later, lots of bleeding, went to out of hours GP who told me it was a late period due to negative test (didnt think he was right). Next morning, definitive negative digital test. The bleeding and clots and pain have been awful, but I was only 4 weeks 2 days along.

I think its my first experience of this. I do have a daughter but we lost her twin around between weeks 5-7. I suppose that egg was never viable either.

Im sorry for the long post but wanted to give context. I want to try again but worried I was responsible because of the spa, and having a drink away, also im on adhd medicine and I'm not sure if thats the cause.

Anyway I'm quite sad and just trying to deal with this pain amid this heat wave 😞 so I cant even use hot water bottle!
