My first LWRC
For context, I’m in California so we have to have neutered AR15’s.
I have a Geissele Super Duty, S&W M&P Sport 3 and a Franken-build already.
I wanted something “mid tier” so it was between the LWRC M6iC Discovery or a Colt EPR2.
Ultimately loved the fit and finish of the LWRC so got it on sale.
I could care less about the ambi controls but may add those later.
I did notice that the BCG on the discovery is black phosphate coated and not the nickel coated.
Are the LWRC skirmish sights worth the price?
I had a derp moment.
My CCW expired 09/03/2026. Did my 8 hour renewal, submitted my application with new pistols to be added.
Got my approval and new card in the mail a couple weeks ago.
Went to pick up a pistol today at my FFL and my CCW has the future date on it.
Valid from 09/03/2026 thru 09/03/2028
🤦♂️
P365 Radian Ramjet Owners Chime in.
Should I do it or nah?
I have a base P365 and a spare X Macro grip module. I’m peak interested in the Radian Ramjet.
Pros/cons?
Probably wouldn’t be added on my CCW but a fun range toy.
Son was offered a spot on Travel Team. Worth the budget?
We were pretty surprised to be honest. He’s 7 going to be 8 in a couple months and this is for the fall season.
We had signed him up for a couple tryouts this past week just to get him some more reps at no cost/commitment.
He is a good player on and off the field. When tryouts were done he was out there helping the coaches pick up cones and grabbing baseballs. Very humble and reserved so when he was told the next day he was offered a spot on a 8U travel team he lit up with excitement.
He started in spring Rookies in 24’ when he was 5 then went to machine pitch 6U for spring 25’ fall ball 25’ and first year kid pitch 26’
The skill development from a year ago has been tremendous.
He was on rec ball this spring and currently in All Stars.
We have zero experience in travel ball and the organizations in our area are hit and miss. Fortunately, the organization that offered him a roster spot is one of the better ones as far as feedback from parents.
After looking at the costs of everything it’s pretty substantial. However, my wife and I are willing to invest the time commitment and money if it makes our son a better athlete all around and if he’s happy.
