I just built some studio panels. Used 3inch rockwool. Monitors are on stands. I have two more rockwool panels behind me in this photo. After putting the monitors on the stands I can’t hear much bass anymore. The bass still bounces all over the room when I stand and walk around the bass just kinda blares at me. It honestly sounds worse than before I built the panels and bought the stands and just had the monitors sitting on my desk facing forward.

I have a Gibson Les Paul and two PRS CE24s. Wanting to get a core custom 24 or core McCarty. Can’t decide. I always block the trem in the CEs. The appeal of the McCarty being a hard tail is high. Am going to sell my Gibson and a CE that I don’t play much to get one of these.

Let’s hear about your McCarty and your CU24 and how you feel they compare. I mainly play metal music as well but don’t tune down past drop C.
