I'm another player, not the DM.

Ngl, I have mixed feelings on it but this man genuinely can't get above a 7 almost our entire campaign. He's tried so many different die, different towers, cups, everything and the dice gods just do not like him.

He's rolled higher twice and both were a Nat 20 but the vast majority of the time he is getting 1-4 on his rolls with occasional 5-7's.

Our DM less than half jokingly mentioned lowering specific checks for this player if he keeps rolling like this and I was curious of y'all's thoughts.

Tbh, I'm not sure how much our table would mind because it's just getting rough at this point lol

Edit: Should mention that this isn't a super serious campaign, just fun amongst friends

I'm the player in question, when the DM was prepping us for the game they chose a preexisting campaign on D&D Beyond, I misunderstood and thought that was the setting for the game and built a character I thought would fit into that. Our DM tried to explain the actual setting over text but there was definitely some miscommunication.

Apparently we are in an entirely different setting and environment and while I'm enjoying playing with everyone, I'm not really enjoying playing with this character. I feel like I'm having a lot of trouble playing them to the best of my ability because, while it's a fantastic and very fun campaign, it's just not the one for this character. My character does get along with the other characters and has formed bonds, others have stated they enjoy this character but I'm playing it very shallow compared to how I intended.

I do however have a different character I made previously that fits into this world beautifully, including how it would interact with the other characters and I think I would enjoy it much more. I feel like I would be able to roleplay more effectively and fit better into battles. I was thinking of telling my DM how I feel and ask to kill my character off.

However I feel guilty just wanting my current character to just die so I can switch (which we are in an area of the story where it could work well) and I don't know if it's unfair to the DM or my fellow players.

We're roughly 5ish sessions in.

How would you as the DM feel if a player approached you asking for this?

How would you feel as a player at the same table?

Edit: One other player does know about me wanting to do this and is supportive but we're dating so it feels very biased, though I am good friends with everyone at the table

I'm trying to figure out what patron to have for my warlock but I feel like I'm getting a lot of different (and sometimes conflicting) info about the patrons and I'm also just a bit overwhelmed, I've never played a warlock before.

I'm trying to find a patron who is chaotic neutral, willing to be/can be spiteful and petty at times, doesn't obsess over worship specific all/is willing to take more uncommon pacts, and more on the powerful side, the more powerful, serious, and well known the better since it will make everything funnier.

I would like it if they're a bit darker themed color wise, but that's 100% not necessary.

I would really appreciate any input or ideas, thank you!

I previously was planning to go with the Raven Queen but I keep getting conflicting info about her so I'm looking for other options

I'm making a flyer for Priscilla Queen of the Desert for a trans pride event but I can't directly say it's name or show any major specific items from it, how would you recommend hinting at it?

It is gonna be a minimum of 110°f (43°c) in June where I live, we're trying to come up with ideas for inexpensive/free to host events for pride that we can do indoors.

So far we've thought of a movie night, board game party, cocktail/mocktail night, potluck, and karaoke (if the bar agrees). We're in a small town, we're gonna be doing everything either at the library (rented room) or at someones house, so there's not a lot of space.

If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Voice Tools never worked well for me but I'm struggling just trying to use videos to voice train, I really need something I can try to work with on it, especially since I'm HOH.

Does anyone have any apps they can recommend for voice training?

I may not be a woman or a mom but I've spent most of my life as a caregiver and I know that today can be a sucky and hard day for a lot of people for a lot of reasons, especially those of us in the trans community
