I'm looking at the Genesis CdF 20 or 30 and I'm struggling to work out whether to go with the M or L.

I'm 5ft 10cm or 178cm (rounded up). The size chart has an overlap between the M and L.

M going up to people 180cm

L starting for people 176cm.

What do you think would be the better sizing, unfortunately getting to a shop and trying is near impossible.

I've asked in here as it will be predominately used for bikepacking (if that makes a difference).
