URGENT. INTENTIONALLY INJURED BABY SEAGULL NEEDING HELP

There’s a baby gull that has been intentionally hit by a truck. Its wing is very broken but it’s otherwise walking around. Are there any wildlife volunteers that I can take the baby to? I can’t look after it myself.

EDIT: thank you to the commenter below who gave the number of the emergency vet, we have taken the baby to a clinic near us. Thank you all for helping. ❤️

To the TWO SMALL DICK LOSER FAILED ABORTIONS THAT HIT THIS BIRD - You intentionally swerved across the road to hit this baby that was already trying to fly out of your path. AND THEN YOU BOTH LAUGHED ABOUT IT!!

You’re both FUCKING EVIL.

I feel sorry for you both. It must be hard going through life when you’re a dumb cunt loser who probably can’t get any pussy, so you choose to hurt defenceless animals for fun. DISGUSTING.

I know what car you drive and I have a description of you both. You were driving in an area of town that you wouldn’t have reason to be in unless you live here. Mark my words, boys! If I find out who you are, I promise you I will contact every single person in your life including your employers (doubt either of you have jobs though) and tell them exactly what you both did. You stupid waste of air failed abortions. HOW DARE YOU BOTH.

GPs good with chronic illnesses

hi all, im moving to central aberdeen in a couple of weeks and need to continue the diagnostic process (and start new ones) for some ongoing chronic illnesses like pots but i also have mecfs and fibromyalgia for reference. doctors can be so incredibly hit or miss for chronic illnesses so was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers to any gp practices theyve found to be productive in these areas? thank you!

Does anyone know a reliable gutter clearing person? We’ve contacted a good few who have said they’ll turn up and haven’t. The gutters and full of weeds 😔. Thank you so much in advance.

Foreign psychologist trainee (paid) looking for a 1b apartment or room in a shared flat to rent for 2 months (Sept-Oct)

I'm a psychologist undergoing my salaried specialist training in Spain (it's a paid 4 year programme to become a clinical psychologist so I'm a trainee not a student, aprox earnings of 1800£ per month) and I'll be doing a clinical placement in Aberdeen for two months (September-October). I'm looking for somewhere to live during that time, and as I'm foreign there are some things I wanted to ask. Thanks in advance for reading!

1- For two months, what type of accomodation should I be looking for? Short term or long term? If so, will it be easier to be accepted for a room than for a flat? Are there any websites which are more desirable to look in?

I'm looking to pay max 650£ for a flat, or 500£ for a room if it's nice. I've looked in airbnb for long term stays but the are way out of my league (1500£ pmonth). Wouldn't have any problems in paying in advance the full two months once I get there (not before, to avoid being scammed ofc), maybe that can help?

2- During that time, I'm still geting paid by my hospital in Spain (so the hospital in Aberdeen isn't paying me), will that pose a problem for renting? I fear that Lanlords could be more skeptical about my pay because it's a special situation, as the paysheet isn't british. Also, I can assume they woulnd't like such a short term stay of only two months. And, I'll have to do the process online so that is also a bit inconvenient. On the other side, they can be sure that I'm not going to overstay because I have to get back to spain and resume my "normal work", so that might be a positive. Also, I'm a british citizen (with passport) although I've never lived in the UK, I don't know if that can help in terms of the paperwork needed.

3- Any help or reccomendation is appreciated :) About the process of renting, and about where to live. I'll be doing my placement at the Royal Cornhill hospital, so I would like to live near that but don't really mind a commute of less than 30 min.

Thanks again for reading, sorry if something isn't clear as english isn't my first language :)

Cheers!

Solicitor for Forced Property Sale

Wondering if anyone has any experience with a solicitor in Aberdeen/shire that does forced property sale cases?
I jointly own a home with an abusive ex who refuses to sell or come to a reasonable arrangement, she still lives in the property and I haven't for 6 years. I would prefer a female solicitor or someone who has dealt with abuse cases but not a requirement.

Why would Aberdeen tours post this AI photo of Orcas?

AI slop everywhere I know...but seems even stranger that a tour company would claim to have seen them, get exposed by FBs AI filter and then turn off comments? Any one see this?

Job recommendations

Hey long story short I lost my job on Monday I have been trying job websites like indeed, LinkedIn and Facebook groups. Could anyone recommend any admin, accounting (student leaver level) and receptionists.

I honestly just need anything at this rate, I live alone and I’m at the stage of struggling to find something. Is anyone you know looking for any of the above roles for their firm, office etc.

Aberdeen Best Areas Near University

I am thinking about studying at the University. Doing a Masters of Teaching. I am happy to walk 30/40 minutes to the university each day.

Wanting to Avoid

- Druggies. We had an incident before in Brisbane with a meth head. I just don't want my daughters to be around it.

-Areas that may be more racist? We are moving over from East Asia, and my daughters are literally pointed at daily here. Nasty comments made about them, by both adults and other children, because they think they won't understand. Photos taken. Filmed. I just want them to have a break from it ... constantly feeling different isn't good for them....We are english accented.... hopefully that isn't held against us!!

Wanting

-Ideally close to some green space. A nicely maintained playground (maybe a library as well). We spend a lot of time outside. Bike riding, scooting, roller skating.

- supportive play based primary schools. Ideally a smaller school that provides us with more personal care. I will have a child starting in P1 and one in P3. So it needs to be a school that isn't oversubscribed with no places.

Looking at around 700 pound a month for a 2 bed.

Urban Foxes

Hey everyone! Moving up to Aberdeen soon. Have heard that there can be a fair few foxes around, depending on the area. One area I’ve heard has quite a few is Morrisons on King St. We’ll actually be moving very close to there. My husband was up the other week getting our flat sorted for us moving and even took a photo of one walking down the street outside.

What are their temperaments? Any recorded incidents of them becoming aggressive or biting? I’ll be moving around the city with a toddler in tow, I don’t know if he might attract attention from them?

Apologies for my ignorance on this topic, I don’t really know anything about these animals. Thanks in advance from a nervous mum.

Recommendations for a visit

Hi all!

Looking for some help.

Coming up August 1st, have a thing to do over in Potarch on the Sunday, but then we'll be basing out union square for a few days.

Would be awesome if anyone had any suggestions of places in the city to definitely go, food to try, shops to go to etc

Particularly interested (if there are any) in small independent alt stores. Goth, emo, tattoo inspired etc but anything you think is good for two grown ups and a 14 year old!

At least one day we're going to do a castle as I'm planning to propose so I want somewhere cool (either New Slain for the ruined Dracula vibes or Dunnotar for the prettiness) but recommendations would also be welcome for that!!
