My other tub of Ecuadors.
Day 18 since S2B.
Dope mutation, mushroom growing out of a mushroom sharing one cap.
Hey guys if you want monotubs but you can't modify plastic totes for whatever reason, buying a plant propagator is the perfect choice.
I see tons of mycology brands selling plant propagators marketed as a monotub for sometimes even higher than $50.
They cost $10 to $20. Just make sure you get one that's not so flimsy (very cheap ones are) what I mean by that is get ones that are hard plastic.
For $15 you can get a huge one.
You can find smaller ones for as low as $5.
(Even lower if you buy like a 6 pack or something.)
I might buy a couple myself, I'm not sure tho. Since unmodified tubs worked perfectly fine for me.
They definitely look cool as well tho.

Costs about β¬10 + shipping, I'm sure I could find ones for even cheaper tho.
It's also HUGE, basically an XXL Monotub. (58 x 37 x 23 cm)
Other one is basically the same size just very short. Ideal for short fat strains.
What do ya'll think?

From Ecuador spore syringe. Day 17 since S2B.
Does this guy for real have 2 stems attached to 1 cap?
And one of the stems is upside down?... wow
[From Ecuador spore syringe]
Today is day 17 since S2B of these Ecuadors.
The veils are starting to break, but damn the mushrooms are small. Might just be genetics, but I really don't want to harvest yet.
Best case: I wake up to taller mushrooms with bigger caps.
Worst case: Tons of spores.
This is my first grow by the way.

These are the mutants I got from an Ecuador spore syringe.
It's now day 16 since sub to bulk of these Ecuadors.
Time to enter the growth surge phase. ππ
(Yes, the mushroom in the last picture forgot to wear a cap.)
Today is day 15 since S2B of these Ecuadors. Is that an Albino Ecuador in the 3rd picture? It looks so much like an albino, I'm definitely getting some weird mutants as well.
Today is day 14 since spawn to bulk of these Ecuadors.
They're growing really fast now, I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up to them doubling in size.
There are definitely some mutants! Like Mr. Chewed Gum over here. I wonder what he is gonna look like once he matures. Jokes aside, I really hope on of those mutants grows up into something huge and weird looking!
This is my first ever grow by the way, I'm pretty happy with the results.
5 day time lapse of Ecuadors.
From hyphal knots, to hundreds of pins.
0 -> 48 -> 72 -> 96 -> 120 hours

Today is the 13th day since S2B. Looking clean, and there are still lots of hyphal knots and primordia slowly but surely turning into pins.

The concept: Heat up a cookie cutter on the stove or with a flame torch, grab it with a plier, and use it to melt holes through the plastic tote.
I don't have a drill and I thought this would be a hell of a solution. Then I remembered plastic fumes exist. What do ya'll think? Worth to give this a try? Or is it way too dangerous?
