Nachdruck?

First winter trip to Austria with our 4-month-old baby – Any fun activity ideas & helpful tips? 🏔️❄️✨

Hi everyone!

We’re super excited to be planning our first winter trip as a family of three to Austria! Our baby will be 4 months old when we go.

We’re really looking forward to the crisp mountain air, cozy walks in the snow, nice alpine hut stops, and just enjoying some quality relaxed time together without any pressure or packed schedules.

For those who have travelled to the mountains with a baby this young:

  • What were your favorite cool activities or outings to do together at that age?
  • Do you have any smart tips & hacks for daily life while there (e.g., staying warm on the go, packing light, pacing the day)?

I’d love to hear your stories, recommendations, and inspiration! Thanks so much!

Erstausgabe Spiegel Zeitschrift

Was würde euch an meiner Stelle interessieren etc.? Was kann dabei interessant sein?

Italy road trip with a 6–12 month old: which route makes the most sense, and car or camper?

Hi everyone,

We’re planning a 3 to 4 week road trip in Italy with our baby (6–12 months old) and will be traveling by car from Germany.

We love mountains, nature, lakes, beaches and Italian food, and we’d like this to be a slow and relaxing trip rather than a sightseeing trip. We want to avoid large cities and are much more interested in beautiful scenery, easy walks with a stroller, swimming, and spending several nights in the same place.

Our biggest questions are:

  • Which region or route in Italy makes the most sense for this type of trip with a baby?
  • Would you choose a camper/small motorhome or a regular car with apartments/agriturismi/hotels?

We’re trying to find the option that is least stressful for naps, nighttime sleep, feeding, parking, and bad weather, while still allowing us to enjoy nature and good food.

If you have done a similar trip with an infant, what would you choose and what would you avoid?

Thanks a lot!
