[Routine Help] need help fading stubborn hyperpigmentatio.

Hi everyone,

I'm 27F with oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin, and I'm looking for advice on treating stubborn hyperpigmentation.

For years, I used to pluck the hair on my cheeks, just under my sideburns, and now I have two large dark patches in those areas. They're not small acne marks—they're pretty big, and they've become one of my biggest insecurities.

I've tried different products over the years, but I was never consistent enough to really judge whether they worked.

About a month and half ago, I finally started following a routine consistently:

Morning:

Avène Vitamin C serum

Anua Azelaic Acid

Moisturizer

Sunscreen (every day)

Night:

Lactic acid cream on the dark spots

Anua Azelaic Acid

Moisturizer

Sometimes Cicaplast if my skin feels irritated

I recently bought Dr. Althea Vitamin C 63 and Differin (adapalene). My plan is to replace the Avène Vitamin C with the Dr. Althea one and alternate Differin and the lactic acid cream at night instead of using the lactic acid every night.

Does this sound like a good routine for hyperpigmentation? Would you change anything?

Also, realistically:

How long before I might start seeing noticeable improvement?

Is there still hope of fading these dark patches, even though they've been there for years?

Has anyone had success treating hyperpigmentation caused by repeated plucking or irritation?

I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you!

Hi everyone, i need some help with fading some pretry big dark spots on my cheeks.

I used ro have a lot of hair and i used to pluck it everyday, it left me with a big dark spot.

I use avene vitamin c and anua zelaic acid 10 every mornig with moistriser and spf. And at night i use a lactic acid spot cream everynight and i just started using differin. I plan to alternate them.

Is it a good routine, should i add something? How soon can i see results, i have been consistant for a little more than a month and it started fading a liiittle bit.

I would appreciate any tip. I 've had those spots for 2 years i think. I have mixed sensitive acne prone skin.
