GBP Phone Number Got Approved, Then Disappeared After 2 Days - What Should I Do?

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with a Google Business Profile contact number update and wanted to check if anyone has dealt with something similar.

I created a Business Profile for legal services under NoBroker. From the beginning, the contact number was not getting approved. After submitting evidence to Google support, the number finally got approved and started showing on the profile. But after 2 days, it again became inactive/removed from the profile.

Has anyone faced this kind of issue where the phone number gets approved first and then disappears again?

A few things I need help with:

  1. What is the best way to get the contact number permanently approved on a GBP profile?
  2. What type of evidence works best for phone number approval? Website page, directory listings, invoices, utility bills, or something else?
  3. How can I contact Google Business Profile support properly and convince them to update the number again?
  4. Does adding the same number on the official website and local directories help in approval?
  5. Is there any reason Google may keep removing the number even after approval?

Any suggestions or real experience would be helpful.

Bengaluru Property Owners, have you checked your e-Khata details?

Many people are now finding mistakes in their e-Khata only when they try to sell their property, apply for a loan, or transfer khata.

Common issues include wrong owner name, spelling mistakes, wrong PID, address mismatch, incorrect site number, wrong property measurement, old owner name showing, or schedule details not matching the sale deed.

These mistakes may look small, but they can create problems during bank verification, buyer due diligence, property registration, or resale.

Before any transaction, it is better to check:

  • Owner name
  • PID/property ID
  • Site number and address
  • Property measurement
  • Tax payment details
  • Sale deed and e-Khata details match or not

Usually, documents like sale deed, Aadhaar, latest tax receipt, EC, and existing khata copy may be required for correction. Simple corrections may be done online, but major mismatches may need BBMP/GBA ward office follow-up.

A few questions for those who have faced this issue:

  1. Has anyone here faced e-Khata correction issues in Bengaluru?
  2. What mistake did you find, how did you correct it, and how long did it take? Did it affect your sale, loan, or khata transfer process?
  3. Was it related to owner name, PID, address, measurement, or old owner details?
  4. Did you correct it online or visit the BBMP/GBA ward office?
  5. Did the mistake affect your sale, loan, registration, or khata transfer process?

🚨 Major Update for Bengaluru Property Owners: B-Khata to A-Khata Conversion Charges Reduced from 5% to 2% Under GBA’s 100-Day Drive

🚨 Bengaluru B-Khata Owners: Is This the Best Time to Convert to A-Khata?

Recent changes under GBA's 100-day "My e-Khata, My Hakku" drive:

  1. B-Khata to A-Khata conversion charges reduced from 5% to 2% of guidance value
  2. Around 7 lakh+ B-Khata properties are estimated to exist in Bengaluru
  3. Reports suggest 11,000+ applications were received in the initial phase, with nearly 7,000 disposed of
  4. The drive aims to accelerate pending property regularisation and e-Khata issuance

For property owners, the fee reduction could mean significant savings compared to the earlier system.

A few questions for those who have already applied:

  • Have you submitted your conversion application under the 2% scheme?
  • How long is the approval process taking?
  • What documents caused the biggest delays?
  • Are BBMP/GBA offices processing applications faster now?
  • Do you think this 100-day window will help clear a large portion of pending B-Khata cases?

Would love to hear real experiences, timelines, costs and challenges from fellow property owners.
