Small wedding venues around Chicago and Suburbs

We are just starting our search for a venue for October next year. I don’t love hotels, barns, or banquet halls and prefer something historic or outdoorsy. We are looking for something that doesn’t feel too big for 50 to 75 people. Budget is pretty open. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Prep for NCMHCE

Hi all US-based therapists. I have acquired all my requirements for full licensure and am waiting my approval to take the NCMHCE. If you took the test within the last 5 years I would love to know what you did to study and what content was on the exam.

I am not a good test taker and have test anxiety so I’m trying to cover all my bases so I can pass on the first go.

Thanks in advance!

Can I get my cat to stop eating human food?

Ok so I’ve had this cat since August. She is a little over a year old and has completely healthy bloodwork. Since I got her she is so insane about food. She has an automatic feeder (always has) because I thought it would help with the constant begging for food, and she literally sits by it all day waiting for her breakfast and lunch. I feed her a large wet can food at night with miralax (vets recommendation to try and help).

No matter how much I feed her, she tries (and sometimes succeeds) to steal food off my plate. She will eat anything, onions, garlic, chocolate, it doesn’t matter if it’s not cat food or if typical cats would avoid it. She will also try and eat our plants if given access to them.

I thought she would grow out of this as food became regularly available to her and scheduled, but she is insatiable. I have changed her food and I tried doing 100% wet food at one point but that actually made the problem worse. I don’t know what to do. Her foster mom had the same issue. Can I do anything to get this to stop or to get her to stop stealing literally any human food available to her?

Stubborn blood stain dilemma

How do I get a set period blood stain out of my light wash jeans? They haven’t been dried or washed in warm water, however it’s weeks old because I’ve been trying everything under the sun to get them out. I ran through the regular cycle (on cold) and hung them to dry. I let them soak all day then tried oxi clean. I tried oxi clean dry. I tried using a small hit of hydrogen peroxide. Now I’m resorting to biz mixed with water to make a paste. The first time I let it sit for 30 minutes and rinsed (nothing) now I’ll let it sit overnight. These are my favorite jeans please I am begging a chemist or mother to help.

I (F26) and my boyfriend (M26) moved into a 3rd floor (top floor) apartment in a 1930s walk up last week. Since moving in we have heard our downstairs neighbor’s Tv pretty much every night. This would usually be no big deal however my boyfriend has sensitivity to certain frequencies of sound, including low buzzing and rumbling sounds which is how the TV sounds.

We have tried putting down a rug and using a white noise machine, but my boyfriend does not like the sound of the white noise machine and it doesn’t really block it out so well. I would love to ask them to turn down their TV, but that doesn’t seem fair since it’s not like they’re having parties or doing anything they shouldn’t be doing in their own home.

Does anyone have any advice for how I can block out the sound? I am willing to buy anything to dull it out. Thank you in advance!
