MOC-177998 World Trade Center – 7,129 pieces

A 1:800 scale replica of the original World Trade Center, designed by SPBrix. It's not the most exciting build—especially with nearly 3,000 grille tiles to place—but the finished model is absolutely stunning.

It's a bit unfortunate that the Twin Towers are actually the least stable part of the build. We think a different mounting solution could have made them much sturdier.

Lumibricks 20007 – Alien Frontier: Bounty Hub – 2,309 pieces

A truly unique addition to Lumibricks' Lumi X series—the line where they place sets that don't yet belong to a specific theme. This one imagines a bounty hunter hub on an alien planet, brought to life with an incredible variety of lighting effects in different colors and styles.

I honestly didn't expect it, but I absolutely loved this set, especially when it's lit up in a dark room. It's incredibly vibrant and full of atmosphere.

As usual, the building experience is fantastic, with plenty of clever techniques and a couple of fun play features, including a motorized (and pleasantly slow-moving) elevator. And, somewhat amusingly, it even includes the now seemingly mandatory restroom. 😄

Lumibricks, we'd definitely love to see more sets like this!

Doomsday Gas Station – 2,043 pieces

This has become one of my new favorite sets. I genuinely enjoyed every part of the build—well, except perhaps the brand own minifigures. This was my first time building them, and... let's just say they're made up of a lot of tiny parts that all have to be assembled right at the end. 😄

The set includes lighting, and while some of the wires are visible from the outside, I can easily overlook that because it perfectly fits the post-apocalyptic theme. The whole place is supposed to look like a makeshift survivor outpost, so a few exposed cables actually add to the atmosphere. 😄

The instruction manual is fantastic. It includes little story segments and conversations between the minifigures throughout the build process. The model makes clever and creative use of parts, and although the interior spaces are fairly tight, they're still packed with nice details. Even the small off-road vehicle received a surprising amount of attention.

Another big plus is that only the large Gas Station sign uses three high-quality stickers, while virtually everything else is printed.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this set to anyone who enjoys post-apocalyptic themes! Unfortunately, I can't mention the brand name directly because AutoModerator removes the post if I do. However, if you search using the photos or the set's name, you'll find it easily enough. 🙂

JMBricklayer Mythic Dragon Tiles 70019 – 1,574 pieces

This is by far the most stable display piece we've built from JMBricklayer so far. Even during the build, the smaller parts stayed firmly in place instead of constantly falling off.

The best part is that this is only one piece of a four-panel series (with one of the other designs already available), which together forms a complete artwork inspired by the ancient Chinese dragon tiles displayed at the British Museum. I've also included a reference photo of the original inspiration.

We did accidentally misplace the petals on one of the large flowers during the build, and in our opinion, the left side of the finished model is a little too dark—one more light would have balanced it better. That said, it's still a beautiful decorative display piece overall.

Lumibricks Chili Dog Trailer – 515 pieces

This was the first set released in the Street Fusion series back in 2024. It's a small, scattered diorama—something my partner has already improved by adding a proper base. The set is packed with details and includes plenty of printed elements, all delivered with the usual Lumibricks quality.

That said, the small island section with the trash can and lamppost feels a bit out of place to us and probably wasn't strictly necessary. On the other hand, the hot dog stand itself is absolutely brilliant and easily the highlight of the set.

JMBricklayer 60015 Bismarck – 2,537 pieces

A very enjoyable battleship model with some unique building techniques and clever design solutions. While it isn't as detailed as Cobi's Bismarck, it offers excellent value for the price and is well worth it overall.

JMBricklayer 70105 Dragon Head – 2,713 pieces

Its core is essentially a Technic frame, which makes it fairly sturdy, although it still needs to be handled with some care. The area around the jaw requires the most attention during the build, and the back of the head ends up covered with a huge number of scale pieces.

The large horns are probably the parts you need to be most careful with, as they can come off more easily than the rest. But honestly, this is primarily a display piece, and as such it looks absolutely fantastic. Dragon fans will love it. :)

The part quality is generally good and consistent, though some connections are a little looser here and there. One minor issue is that the brown colors in the instructions can be quite difficult to tell apart.

Barweer BWR009 Crow King's Castle – 4,961 pieces

This has become one of my favorite sets. The whole build is brilliant, packed with tons of details, and what’s almost hard to believe is the price — the value for money is absolutely incredible. Even though it’s made up of a huge number of small pieces, they only add to the level of detail and overall experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone!

Lumibricks Underground Dance Battle

One of the smaller dioramas from the Street Fusion series, featuring 3 light-up elements, 5 minifigures, and the beautiful printed pieces we've come to expect from Lumibricks. 🙂

CaDA C64012W – BWT Alpine™ Formula One Team A525 – 2173 pieces

A brutal 71 cm beast of a model that once again shows how CaDA believes a 1:8 scale Formula 1 car should be done. Not exactly the way we've seen it done by the market leader...

The shaping is beautiful, the building experience is excellent, and every decoration is printed. Some of the parts almost look like stickers that were pre-applied and printed directly onto the pieces, but regardless, the execution is outstanding. And personally, I absolutely love the color scheme — it looks fantastic.

Pantasy – Dragon Ball™ Tenkaichi Budōkai 87003 – 776 pieces

Pantasy managed to secure the Dragon Ball license before the market leader, and they even released the legendary tournament arena. The set is packed with printed pieces — there are only a few stickers to apply, mostly the kind that span across multiple parts, since they either didn’t want to or couldn’t print the design across connected pieces back then.

It also features some really creative part usage, and they managed to create a really cool little diorama with the piece count. Unfortunately, the acrylic figures feel a bit unusual in the set. Pantasy’s standard figures are more manga-style, which probably wouldn’t have fit the theme anyway, and as far as I know, the Dragon Ball rights holder only allowed the characters to be represented this way.

It’s something you kind of have to accept, but aside from that, I can definitely recommend it to Dragon Ball fans! :)

Lumibricks (Funwhole) – Skate Shop F9051 – 1573 pieces

I brought a few photos of the first building from the Lumi Street Fusion theme, originally released back in autumn 2024 under the company’s previous name. This one didn’t disappoint either — even though it’s a smaller set with a more compact footprint, it still packs in some really nice details. The 25 printed pieces and 8 LED lights add a lot to the overall atmosphere.

JMBricklayer 10002 Butterfly Effect – Mystic Flutter – 723 pieces

A truly creative little diorama packed with lighting effects, featuring a small butterfly sitting on top that’s moved by a motor. I really liked how the lights are used throughout the plants and insect details — for example, the unique illuminated abdomen looks especially cool.

The part quality is good overall, although some pieces connect a bit more loosely here and there, which can cause some minor frustration near the end of the build when everything gets pretty crowded. But the final result is genuinely impressive. :)

Nifeliz Z240 – 1694 pieces

Our first set from Nifeliz, but definitely not the last — they completely won us over with this one.

The part quality is really good, the instructions are great, and there were even a couple of little extras in the box. The details on the car are outstanding too — the interior, the engine, the authentically opening hood, and even the spare wheel is such a nice touch!

Even though the price is a bit on the higher side compared to other compatible brick sets, it’s absolutely worth every penny. :)

Barweer BWR008 The Trailblazer – 5611 pieces, 63 cm long

Originally a MOC by papaglop, later officially licensed by Barweer. As far as I know, it’s the ship of the main character from the Star Wars: Outlaws video game, although I haven’t played the game myself. One thing is certain though: this set is absolutely brilliant, and it easily stands alongside the market-leading UCS sets—at only a fraction of the price.

The interior is fully detailed—there are only a few spots where I could have imagined one or two extra details. The top panels can be easily removed or opened from the sides. The front section with the transparent canopy pieces is the most delicate part, so that area needs careful handling. Otherwise, the whole model is very stable and stands perfectly on its three landing legs.

The color combination looks great, the shaping is excellent, and the rear section is also really well designed—and naturally, it can be opened too. Side entrance ramp, top-mounted turret, tons of details… the piece count was definitely put to good use here. Hats off to papaglop.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow, although personally I wouldn’t split such a massive build into only 11 stages, because that means sorting through 500–600 pieces per phase. I’d probably double the number of stages. Part quality is also excellent about 99% of the time—I only had one defective piece, which I could easily replace, plus a few slightly smudged elements.

Long story short: Barweer handled an already fantastic MOC exceptionally well. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to both Star Wars and spaceship fans alike.

A very uniquely built car that features a ton of advanced building techniques. It can be surprising even for experienced builders, and we wouldn’t really recommend it for beginners. It consists of nearly 1,500 pieces, and you actually build 12 separate modules which are then combined to create the final model—resulting in some really great details.

Ours arrived from Lesdiy without the custom sticker sheet—it doesn’t come with it by default, but it can be purchased separately, which makes the model truly authentic. It’s brilliant! We considered ordering it, but with a production time of at least 3–4 weeks, we decided to put it on hold for now.
