Deluxe Pack Mega Emblem Event - Meta Decks for Missions - October 2026

I've collected decks with high use-rate from limitlesstcg.com (with some minor adjustments) for each typing. It's an annoying mission but kinda nice to see what's the most meta deck for PvP for each (pure) typing at this end of B set.

While most decks are self-explanatory. I have notes for these two typings (that's not super meta):

  1. Metal-type: Dialga ex + Mega Metagross ex
(There's no current Metal-type meta that's consistent enough. This variant is the best I can do.)
  2. a. Colorless-type (1): Sleep Scam + Babies
(This is just the usual Sleep Scam but I add few extra babies to satisfy the missions)
    b. Colorless-type (2): Team Rocket's Raticate + Persian
(I was originally not going to put it since this is the only B-set not in Deluxe Set, but this is a fun deck and can win battles, in case you don't want to use the other one (due to ethical reasons of using sleep scam))

PS: For this event, well of course, you can just use any random 8 type-cards and do Private Match with your friend/family (or in my case, my 2nd device) as it is counted as versus battle that could complete the missions. But for those who are up to the challenge, the decks I've posted might be useful!

Random Battle / Auto-battling - Oricorio + Indedenne Deck - September 2026

I don't usually do this but a bit excited to share my fair-share of deck for auto-battling. I did around 70 battles with two devices on Auto and recorded the consecutive win and loss, so far it's around 90% win-rate on auto, which is effective enough for at least the 5 consecutive win challenge.

Some key points of the deck:

  1. AI can play Dedenne quite effectively (sometimes only 3 tools attached though)
  2. AI can move around Oricorio really well
  3. Enemy AI is not good at calculating Poison Damage
  4. Enemy AI is struggling to KO Oricorio in this EX heavy meta
  5. Enemy AI cannot take into account Indeedee healings
The deck is inspired by one of the tournament winning deck (that's been adjusted for auto-play).

Some weakness of this deck includes:

  1. Low-cost Fighting deck (got beaten by 2 Tyrogues)
  2. Non-ex with at least 90 ATK (got beaten by Virizion once, Celesteela once)
  3. Ex with 140 ATK (got beaten by Blaziken once)
  4. Heavy bench-sniping (got beaten by Chien-Pao once)

Knowing those weaknesses helps you taking over the game so the key cards can be beaten effectively.

Personally, this now become my go-to auto deck as M.Venusaur starts to struggle for the last couple of month, hopefully this deck would also work for some of you.

Mega Houndoom Drop Event - Decks for Battle Tasks & Auto Battling - August 2026

Mega Houndoom's (potential) 240 ATK for this battle event is brutal, with Victini giving second chances, not a single Pokemon (other than Wailord ex) that can reliably survive that. For this drop event, first, here are the list for the usual 12-card-of-the-set challenge:

Battle Task Completion (recommended to turn off Auto battler)

  1. Mega Sharpedo + Walrein: This deck checks all the boxes for the battle tasks. The goal is to let Mega Sharpedo ramp Walrein, then finish it up with Walrein + Boundary Field for 220 damage. Wally is there to additionally ramp Walrein. In most cases, M-Sharpedo need to survive Mega Houndoom first then switch to Walrein for finisher. Another bonus point is that M-Sharpedo can also 2-shot Moltres, and 1-shot other basics with just 1 energy. It also has to start with Carvanha, not Spheal.
  2. Golurk: The usual Golurk deck (any 12 non-Basic cards of the set with Retreat Cost 3) works well here but the tricky part is that it needs two Golett to make it successful. The first Golett is to "bait" M-Houndoom, and the Benched Golurk (with help of the Stadium) can 1-shot M-Houndoom.
  3. Noivern + Dragonair: It needs a bit of luck with Noivern but Drayden makes it a bit more consistent with Draco Meteor. If the only basic at start is Dratini, do restart.
  4. Mega Rayquaza + Dragonair: M-Rayquaza can also get the job done, thanks to its bulk that can survive 2-hit of M-Houndoom. The Poke pad and the veil are mostly useless here, just as padding. Also, if the only basic at start is Dratini, do restart.
  5. Hoopa ex + Galarian Obstagoon: This deck is tricky because the goal is mostly not to KO M-Houndoom but to snipe a Moltres + Victini/Houndour. G-Obstagoon can snipe any Basic with no issue (but only 80 ATK), so Hoopa ex need to do a bit of heavy lifting of trimming enemy's HP. With help of Deceptive Needle + Wally, it is doable with this deck.
  6. Mega Venusaur: There's this new battle task of having all Pokémon to be a certain disadvantage type, and for this one M-Venusaur can clear it (although not the best for Auto-battling). I omit all the healing for this (as this is not for auto-battling) and focus on having M-Venusaur online as fast as possible. Leaf Cape over Heavy Helmet here since you can potentially survive a 240 ATK with cape.

For the auto-battling part, most strategy relies on sniping Houndour then finish up Mega Houndoom with a heavy attacker (with low energy and HP at least 170 to survive 2-hit of M-Houndoom's attack)

Auto Battling on Expert difficulty

  1. Mega Lucario + Hitmonlee: Hitmonlee can first chip Houndour with 30 ATK (or even KO it with 2 hit). If that's not successful, this deck filled with ATK boosters (Korrina + Arena of Antiquity) to make sure that Mega Lucario can reliably 1-hit KO Mega Houndoom.
  2. Greninja ex + Suicune ex: Suicune ex is mostly the draw engine for this deck, with Greninja ex to be the finisher. It's less consistent compared to the M-Lucario one, as Greninja also need Boundary Field to 1-hit KO Mega Houndoom.
  3. Vaporeon ex: Vaporeon ex can play around by spamming ability to juggle the Basics, sniping either Victini or Houndour. With heavy helmet, it can also survive 2-hit of Mega Houndoom at least, which is already a big advantage.
  4. Mega Blaziken + Heatmor: This one has similar strategy as M-Lucario + Hitmonlee deck with a small plus is that it is a bit faster as Flame Patch can be used here. M-Blaziken can only reach 140 damage unfortunately, so either need to 2-hit Mega Houndoom or KO Moltres + Victini with Sabrina's help.

(PS: In a lot of the auto battling deck, I added Squirt Bottle to discard enemy's Fire energy, however I feel this can be substituted with extra Sabrina/Copycat/Cyrus as discarded energy can be retrieved by Flame Patch. I'm still not sure which one is more effective without a lot of testing)

For this post, you can save the image of the deck and use the "Scan Saved Image" feature!

Hisuian Zorua Drop Event - Decks for Battle Tasks & Auto Battling - July 2026

Another drop event! This one is a bit nasty as Froslass can 1-shot a lot of basic mons (and of course, Milotic's Sleep attack too).

FOR BATTLE TASKS: I found two good options:
1. Golurk + Palossand: Palossand (and Sandygast) fits nicely here as they both Fighting-type with both Retreat Cost 3 (and low energy!). As all the basics have 80 HP, no need to worry that it'll get 1-shot right away by Froslass. It is the best deck to clear all Battle Tasks (other than the repetitive ones). Also, other than the two Golurks, the rest are of ♢ or ♢♢ rarity, so it should be F2P friendly.
2. Puppy Pile: The popular Puppy Pile works well, and if you need to satisfy the "KO with Fighting-type", don't forget to let Rockruff attack. There are some other variations of Puppy Pile and you can see them in my previous post. (This one cannot be Auto-ed)

There are many decks that could satisfy "12 cards of the set" battle tasks, and you can try any of the decks that I posted here, if you can't complete Golurk or Puppy Pile decks.

FOR AUTO BATTLING: the main consideration is to survive Turn 3 of Froslass' 70 ATK + Sleep Recovery:
1. Hitmontop + Mega Lucario ex: Hitmontop 80 HP (plus some survival Giant Cape for Riolu) can handle Froslass. As the opponent has many Basics, it gives a very optimal attack each time. Mega Lucario with 3 energies can do the clean-up as it can 1-shot everything (given Corrina or Arena of Antiquity in play)
2. Mega Venusaur ex: It works with some adjustment (Leaf Cape + PCLs). It's a bit prone to quick loss if Bulbasaur can't evolve (or find Leaf Cape) fast enough. At least if it got defeated by Froslass on Turn3 or 4, it'd be a quick loss.
3. Silvally + Rampardos: Oldies but goodies. This old meta is somehow good for this battle as Type:Null has 80 HP with Silvally capable of 1-shotting Froslass. Rampardos with Arena can 1-shot both Milotic and H-Zoroark.
4. Jolteon ex: With Milotic ramping up energy like crazy, Jolteon ex can pretty much 1-shot it. No problem 1-shotting Froslass as well. It's fun to see the enemy shuffling between all of their Pokémon trying to survive getting 1-shot. Just like M-Venusaur case, if it's a loss, it'll be a quick loss.

Deck list for each will be in the comment section. I hope this helps!

PS: This is also a launch of the new design for the infographics, inspired by the app itself!

Everyday Wonders Step-Up Battle - Deck Options for Battle Tasks - June 2026

It's been a week and might be already too late after the release of the new decks but I've tried to compile some decks that might be useful for the completion of "12 cards from set" missions, hopefully this could help some people who hasn't completed this. (Also, just practicing some visual design skills)

1. Puppy Pile Decks: Puppy Pile is the star for this set. Flame Patch version is the most commonly use but for Auto-battling, the babies version works as well (as you can always restart until getting babies). The only trainers are the Puppy-Loving Girl and the balloons, but for some fights (for Milotic and Dedenne ones), I swap 1 Poke-ball for 1 Bounded Field for effectiveness. There's also a Carbink version (swapping the Babies), but I didn't get much luck on that.

2. Hisuian Zoroark Decks: The Butterfree version is the most common one but the water version (with Froslass) doesn't perform bad as well. I only put 1 Hisuian Zoroark for each (but 2 zoroa) since end-game doesn't usually utilize 2 Zoroark but requires 1 Zorua to be on bench as soon as possible.

3. Dedenne + Emolga Decks: Not the most optimal build still works. The Capes are essentially has no effect other than for the tool requirements, including Elesa. Those are the only Trainer options that make a slight sense for the 12 cards completion.

4. Golurk Decks: Golurk still works as the 180 attacks can pretty much 1-shot all the current megas. Feel free to adjust the trainers, I just like the 1 Pokeball + 2 Prof Research + 1 Iono composition.

Been trying to make other decks but other than those 4 archetypes, I couldn't think of any viable decks that can reliably defeat the Expert battles.

I will add the name cards and deck details in the comment. I hope this could help some of you.

PS: Thanks to u/Korvan_Hemlock for creating the Gen 9 and Hisuian Pokemon-Shuffle-esque icons.

Auto-Play Decks Compilation (All Battle Tasks) - Ceruledge ex Drop Event - June 2026

Another drop event! Ceruledge can be tough to deal with especially since losing energy = losing a turn in most cases. With Team Rocket Grunt + Mimikyu + Peculiar Plaza, it tries to prolong the battle as long as it can while denying energy for your own mons.

For the 12 Paradox Drive cards challenge, I managed to find 4 decks that can give some wins:

  1. Glimmora + Kingambit comes on top with Darkness effectiveness, so you can clear additional battle tasks.

  2. Golurk can still be used as well, good thing Golett can survive 1 Mimikyu attack at least.

  3. I also added the "Ancient"-focused and "Future"-focused deck, in case you cannot complete the Golurk or Glimmora decks (as they requires a lot of 3-diamond cards). For the Ancient part, Great Tusk 80 ATK + slight healing from Garganacl can clear the game, while for the Future part, the usual Iron gang can clear it up as well.

For auto battling, it is quite tricky as it needs to have very low energy requirements while having high attacks:

  1. Hydreigon only needs 1 dark energy and can pretty much one-shot everything. I added Tyrogue to chip some damages and hopefully clearing up Mimikyu's ability from Turn 1.

  2. Zoroark ex also only needs 1 energy, pretty much immune to any energy reduction strategy the CPU has. As it's max attack is 110 (including effectiveness), Nihilego + Poison Barb are there to help one-shooting stuff.

  3. Mega Venusaur ex is still a front runner, albeit much slower than the decks above. Ample healing is needed as there might be turns you cannot attack due to low energies.

  4. Mega Blaziken essentially is a low-energy decks as Flame Patch can help with that. With Giant Cape, Castform can survive at least 1 attack from Mimikyu or Ceruledge.

You might notice that I also put Guzma in all of the decks instead of Field Blower because the AI cannot use Field Blower effectively. Clearing enemy's Giant Cape can be essential in a lot of cases since all the attackers above cannot reach 150-170HP in 1-shot, and the auto-battler is really good at the timing use of Guzma. Also, I put a lot of Lucky Ice Pop, to make sure the main attackers can withstand at least 2 shot from Mimikyu/Ceruledge.

I hope this helps. I'll post the full decklist in the comment section (since some cards can be hard to read).

Auto-Play Decks Compilation (All Battle Tasks) - Mega Heracross ex Drop Event - May 2026

Due to Fire weakness, this event is much more new-player friendly as everyone has that new Mega Blaziken Elite Deck.

I found a lot of deck that works for completing the missions (12 Pulsing Aura cards one): For non-ex, the answer is pretty clear: Golurk or Darmanitan+Castform. For ex, pretty much a lot of options.

For auto use, my go-to is actually Mega Blaziken + Castform Sunny (no stadium. Enemy's stadium is enough and auto battler's not good at using them). Castform alone can pretty much defeat M Heracross if you're lucky enough. Jolteon works well here too as they always put energy on M Heracross, easy snipe. (M Venusaur ex deck is unfortunately a bit janky to use here, and the battles are also too long as they keep switching basics--not recommended.)

PS: Based on my last post, I just realized that newer player are getting more and more difficult in collecting some of the essentials cards that are scattered across series, so moving forward, I'll try to focus more on recent sets for the deck suggestions.

▲ 1.1k r/PokemonPocket+1 crossposts

I find it annoying having an event with "at least 12 cards" missions right after the release of the new packs. But good news, the ol'-reliable Golurk deck works pretty well in this current event (fells good when in Expert, the enemy play Stadium "Arena of Antiquity". They also can't use Korrina). So, save your hourglasses and just plug in 12 cards from the new expansion with retreat cost 3 or 4 (there are a lot of them so you'll get 12 such cards in no time). I decided not to add more other variations this time, so as not to pressure people from pulling needlessly (this early!) to complete the missions.

For the no-brainer, high win-rate auto purpose, it's another walk-in-the-park for Mega Venusaur ex deck. Some adjustments for this mission:
- Red is necessary to 1-hit KO Zygarde ex hence 2 of them
- Leaf Cape instead of Heavy Helmet to make sure Bulbasaur survives the 2-hit from Hitmonchan ex (given enough healing).
- Arven to quickly retrieve either tool or item, any of those are necessary in the 1st turn.
- No Sabrina/Cyrus as they're not the best against this low-energy deck.
- 1-leaf attack Bulbasaur with 60 HP, as that 1st attack could be detrimental if Hitmonchan ex has Giant Cape
- So many healing cards as we're literally a punching bag in this event
(note that Zygarde ex could 1-hit KO M Venusaur with Stadium + Korrina + Lucario's Ability so don't get spooked by that)

As always, I hope this helps!
