Update on the Mega Tier List: Sceptile is a BEAST with these new cards!

Just a side note/fun fact: Gyarados and Ampharos have recently been making some Limitless tourney appearances! Haven't had much success, but at least they are trying!

Also, I myself have been entered into a few tournaments to really experience what the top-tier cards are in terms of megas and... I'm seeing a lot less Altaria and Absol and more Sceptile, Lucario, Gardevoir, Diancie, and Sableye... oh well

TIL Rocky helmet

So was everyone aware that while wearing helmet attacking into the cursed jewel effect causes the helmet to activate and deal damage?

I'm tired of solo battles.

Yeah, I know, it's THAT thread again. I've just faced yet another CPU perfect hand turn 1 against me. I just don't understand why CPU battles were changed a few seasons ago. Right now I feel like I'm playing against casino - coinflips are rigged, starting hands feel rigged, everything feels rigged. I really liked to use off-meta decks while facing CPU, but right now even S/A tier decks get smashed by some random decks. Getting 30-40% WR against bot wouldn't be such a pain, but if we combine it with 5-10 consecutive wins it turns into the slow, painful grind.

I give up with Gyarados

I’ve tried everything. I just can’t catch a break with Mega Gyarados EX. This time my swannett combo worked perfect. I set up both Magikarps with energy early! Only problem is… my two yes I said TWO Mega Gyardados EX’s were the last 2 cards of the 3 left in my deck. I felt my opponents pity and I was ashamed that I even played through this entire battle. Any help here or is Gyarados chopped?

I stole this deck idea from someone else, but it’s been really fun

Munchlax is there if you get lucky enough to draw him turn one when going first. Then a giant cape on an Ursaluna with Celebi on your bench has the potential to let you deal out 210 damage in a single hit! Ursaluna’s ability comes in clutch too. I’d love to hear any thoughts of how I can make this deck better though!

This Deck Never Lets Your Opponent's Breath (Unless its grass)

This deck just makes Dark decks so much fun to play.

Zoroark starts applying pressure immediately with just a single Energy, making it incredibly easy to establish your board while keeping your opponent on a timer.

Once Mega Sableye comes online, things only get harder for them. Its attack effect makes it extremely awkward to attack into, forcing inefficient plays and making it super difficult to play around since bombirdier can easily pivot monster after monster.

The deck feels smooth, consistent, and rewarding to play.

Trainer card type distribution for cards that offer universal support for Pokémon of that type. DeNA you gotta help Dragon types out

I'm only including Trainer cards that offer support generally for that whole type (so something like Brock doesn't count for Fighting since he only works with Golem and Onix) and that depend on the Pokémon type, not the energy. So honorable mentions to Irida for water and Elemental Switch for fire, water and lightning, but they work if you use those types of energies with Pokémon of other types.

It's extra rough out there for Dragon types since they depend on other types of energy, and a lot of support, including other Pokémon, restrict their support to Pokémon of that type. Like for example, Baxcalibur lets you ramp water energy, but only to other water Pokémon. Can't ramp a dragon type. I hope with the next set being Rayquaza, DeNA finally eases up on their dragon discrimination

edit: forgot Adaman for steel types

What u guys think about new features in the game (Dark Mode)?

Hehehe xD
But seriously guys, what can't be missing from the next major update? Let’s help DeNa to have something to look at!

I start!
Dark mode obviously
More decks, maybe 30?

And a way to copy another’s deck by a unique code like we have in champions… I think this will be huge!

Update idea: 24h Wonder Picks should always be available

When a new set drops, 24h picks begin straight away.

When you complete all 1 and 2 diamond cards, 24h picks are guaranteed at LEAST a 3 diamond or higher.

When you complete 3 diamond cards, 24h picks are guaranteed at LEAST a 4 diamond or higher.

And so on all the way up. It would be a great way to get more chances to find those elusive 3 and 4 diamond cards at the beginning of booster drops.

Caterpie and Milotic are the best support of the expansion

I loved vaporeon ex and tried playing him since release (with greninja ex), but it always felt a bit slow and lacking some punch. Milotic came and gave it such a boost, and I'm so happy to be able to play vaporeon without feeling like I'm playing catch up all the time. Even my inteleon deck feels so much better with it.

And then, Caterpie, I love how in the sea of EX, Megas, heavy hitters, op abilities and gimmicks, it's the og caterpillar that came here, laughed at them and started taking names 😂 I like sceptile, but it was never as fun as it is now with this monster carrying him on its shoulders. He is a true dark horse and I'm just enjoying this so much (until blaziken comes and ruins the fun like he has always done to mega scizor).

Also, I just wanted to say that I love these communities, I've been working on completing my rare trainer and pokemon staples for some time now and, while I've hunted many of those trades by myself, there's also been a lot of generous players and friends hat helped me a ton in this endeavour and I love to see those things happening every day.

Theory crafting: Has anyone thought about running a tool engine?

Kids room to get your tools- steel apron start for special conditions (usually sleep + poison)- Elesa to swap into metal core barrier for the bigger hits (and to disrupt opponents). 2 Elesa would be better but I’m missing one. What do you guys thinks? Just thought about this today. Any suggestions?
