Hey everyone,
I really need your help and advice because I’m honestly shocked at what’s happened.

I own a BMW iX first registration Jan 2023, only 17,500 miles.

In late May 2026, it went into Sytner Harold Wood BMW after “Range Reduced” warning.

I have Comprehensive Component cover - highest level of BMW Insured Warranty.

Here’s where it gets insane:

• On Thursday, the service advisor told me the fault might not be covered

• They said they'd speak to BMW for goodwill

• They PROMISED to call me Friday with an update

• No call came

• Then late Friday evening…

I get a TEXT MESSAGE saying my courtesy car is TERMINATED

• No explanation

• No chance to respond

• And now I'm stranded for the whole weekend with work and school runs on Monday

This is a £6.5k repair they're hinting at, and they've basically dumped me with zero notice.

Legally, this is wrong.

BMW cannot deny a warranty claim without:
• A written diagnosis
• Submission to Allianz
• A formal written decision
• A clear exclusion clause
• Proper notice
None of that has happened.

Has anyone else had issues with BMW iX drive units or Syner dealerships?

I'm escalating to BMW UK and the Financial Ombudsman, but I'd love to hear your experiences.

This has completely ruined my weekend and honestly shaken my trust in BMW.

Any advice or similar stories would really help.
