So a few months ago I made a post about making a friend play the trilogy and he loved it so much he made another mutual friend start playing muv luv as well in out chain of suffering and trauma, so a few days ago that second friend finished chapter 7. He hates both our guts but is really hooked.

Hello everyone hope you're having a good day, today I started work on the horde system for my game.
Since any version of this game I can think off ends up needing large beta hordes I started to develope a spawner script and a horde manager script, it very basic rn but it does the trick, I tried spawning 200 betas and I kinda started to kill my pc at the end so there is still a long way to go.
Hello guys quick update, I like reporting advances, helps me keep my motivation so I'll keep it up so just bear with me haha.
I had so many problems with making animations for the TSF model, I suck at animation and I also hate it so I found Mixamo which helped me out a lot, I managed to make the riggin for the model using that and then I planned to make the animations on blender, but when I imported the model back to godot It looked weird with many invisible parts so I ended up using blender to change the model format to something godot works better with and using mixamo to make animations which I then convert with blender and extract in godot and use them for my main model.
I also got a page to make me a tank class model that turned out pretty good, scarily so tbh and I have it follow the player around.
3D modeling and animations are probably my biggets fear with this project, I hate animating and sculpting I just have 0 skills with it, I'm not an "art" person ahaha I can't draw to save my life let alone sculpt a 3d model so those pages came in clutch.
next time I might have to add more animations to the player and add a way to make damage, I saw there is a model for the tsf sword so i'll probably use that and make a strike animation that when it contacts the beta It takes away life until it's dead and removed from the scene.

So this is my daily muv posting. i've spent some time learning godot a few weeks ago with another proyect, yesterday I decided to face my fears and make a 3rd person game and add some basic movement.
My fear being modeling and animating stuff, god I already hate it.
I want to make a personaish type game with a "light novel your way around the base" section and a mission part where you take the TSF on an action rpg/horde shooter thingy, tho as you can see, so far we got that haha.
If someone knows anything about animation and can give me some tips they will be much apreciated, I'll update when I have something else to show, this is mostly for learning and fun.
Hey so I made a post yesterday about the dimensions stories being translated, on the muv luv twitter I remember seeing a post about foreign fans using other means to translate it and reading it so I suppose it's fine to make this.
either way I translated the first part, prologue and made an epub for you all to read.
I made it using claude since kouki uses it to translate it's tweets to, it must be good ad Japanese. I have not read it all yet so it has 0 editing, on that note.
If any of you wish to do some, editing contact me and I'll give you the original doc so you can make an improved version. I'll continue with the next part (it's longer and I don't have that much time so i'll prolly do it on the weekend) and upload it the same as this one.

Hey lately they started publishing for free this muv luv dimensions stories and I have been wondering If someone has them translated since they are only in japanese. If not I'll try to translate them and upload them
Hey guys, last year I finally convinced a friend to play Muv-Luv, which he didn't know shit about. I only told him it was a dating sim.
This was in exchange for me reading Lord of Mysteries (still on it; it's so fucking boring).
So he started playing Muv-Luv Extra and enjoyed it much more than I ever did. I watched him stream the entire thing, so we chatted, had fun, and laughed at how silly it is. It really gave me a newfound appreciation for Extra that I didn't used to have; I really like it now. I think it's a fun and silly ride that I can appreciate as a standalone thing even if it's separate from Unlimited and Alternative.
It's also surprising how it manages to be a complete and separate story while still being like 80% foreshadowing of future events.
The part I enjoyed the most was him moving on to unlimited. I actually got him to NOT look at the screen while entering unlimited, so he didn't even see the menu change; he truly didn't know anything before entering unlimited, and his surprise at the sudden change was so funny.
When I read Muv-Luv, it was before the Steam version, and I went in knowing that at some point it turned into a mecha story.
I got to experience the surprise through him, and it was great.
From that point on, he kind of resented the whole thing, you see. My friend is not the gore and sadness type, he likes slice of life and cute stories with lots of fluff, which is why he enjoyed Extra so much.
The change to unlimited hit him hard; he couldn't take it seriously. He was kind of like Takeru, refusing to accept the new world he now inhabited.
He said he was more invested in the story since it obviously IS more interesting, but it wasn't until around chapter 9 with Meiya that he got truly hooked, and then he got flabbergasted again when Unlimited ended not long after that, and on such a sad note.
He started Alternative a few weeks after that, and god, he's been streaming it for almost a year, in small sessions.
At the beginning it was more unlimited, obviously; he liked it, but after the 12-5 incident arc, he said he loved it.
Then came Marimo's death; personally, I really feared how he would react. I truly feared that he would stop playing at all, as I stated; he's not the type to take well to the whole sadness and gore thing.
It made me so fucking nervous knowing it was around the corner; I knew he loved Marimo; he had stated it so much before. I felt like a piece of shit, and then it happened; that truly fucked him up, to the point he had to stop playing for a while. Afterwards, he really took it like a champ, crying the whole way to the finish line, and as of now is a huge fan and planning to continue with the rest of the series.
He even got another friend to start Muv-Luv; that other friend is now starting Alternative. So I'll keep you guys posted.
I'm happy to have someone I can talk Muv-Luv with, and also I'm happy that he had the entire experience with no spoilers at all, as Koki intended.
