Any possibility of Breaker Room and Midnight motorist connection?
I haven't seen these two maps aligned like this before, surprisingly.
The idea here would be that the MM house is the fnaf 4 minigame house, and JR's is the same building as Fredbear's Family Diner as we see it in fnaf 4. The cars we see parked in fnaf 4, in addition to the similar looking double doors in FLAF also point to this.
Disclaimer: I will use some of my personal assumptions on MM as a basis, so bear with me.
Since CBEARs stretches farther out, I wanted to see what else might align to the mystery mound: from what I can see, it aligns exactly to where the connection between Circus Gallery and Fredbear's was/is.
What might that mean? First of all, the mound might be connected to Circus Baby. Combined with the outline in the minigame, which makes it seem like this place is cleared for some sort of construction, this would either be where CBPW is supposed to be built, or where it has already been demolished. This implies CBPW would be connected to Fredbear's anyway, which would somehow aid Afton in his BV-related experiments, and most importantly, that CBPW was always connected CBEARS. The mound might be an alternative entrance to CBEARs, considering how easily Ennard gets to Michael's house (which is likely the same house as in MM), like a hidden hatch.
Returning to the former connection, let's examine some inconsistencies between Midnight Motorist and FNAF 4. In 4, we clearly see it as a busy neighborhood, with fences, clean flowery lawns and a tiled road. In FNAF 4 the road to Fredbear's also feels extremely short, although that might a minigame simplification. This is all a far cry from the forest, middle-of-nowhere we see in MM, with a long, narrowing road leading from the Afton house. This might be just a stylistic difference, but might also suggest that the minigames take place in different time periods, such as being long before or significantly after The Big Bite. We also see that in the SL Custom Night cutscenes, Ennard is seen strolling through a populated neighborhood (with a background which can be interpreted as a far-away forest), despite Michael likely living in the same MM/FNAF 4 Menu house. This suggests that the pinetrees don't necessarily replace the FNAF 4 neighborhood, but might just be what's behind them (since the fnaf 4 minigame screens feel very zoomed in, and MM is extremely zoomed out).
To sum up, if this connection with the Breaker Room map holds water, to me it would suggest that MM takes place significantly after The Big Bite (late 1983, 1984, 1987??), as the Fredbear's to JR's transition would need some time to take place. As I believe "Later that night" relates to Charlotte's murder (despite the 87 connections), to me the overall story would go as follows: MM takes place after BV's death, with Michael being the runaway, being lured to Fredbear's, now JR's by an apparition of Golden Freddy (Alternatively lured to Freddy's, but if William had such a long drive from there, seems unlikely). To add my personal thoughts on why this makes sense — William does not lash out at the Couch person (which he'd likely do to talkback from his son), and, more importantly ISN'T concerned about the Runaway, which would make sense if it is 13-15 year old Michael and NOT 4-7 year old BV. He simply waits and ominously says "He'll be sorry when he gets back"... Additionally, he does not go looking for them, since he knows where they went — to JR's, where William isn't allowed anyway (maybe not only because of drinking, but being known to cause trouble at the place where his son died)?
Perhaps MM aims to show us the beginning/continuation of Michael's character arc, and the origins of him being put in the nightmare experiments as punishment.
Thank you for reading my first post! Please share your thoughts, I'm itching to discuss this.
